JOB VACANCIES AT KITETE RRH 


OVERVIEW

Kitete RRH Management in collaboration with Management Development for Heath(MDH), has a pleasure to Invite Suitable Candidates to fill the following Vacancies below:

1. INDEX TESTERS( 4 POSTS) Work Station: CTC Reports to: Facility Incharge Full time Qualification: Should have at least a certificate/ diploma in Nursing and must have a valid practice license; he/she should have an experience of 1-2 years in the field of expertise is added advantage .
Job summary: Index tester requires extensive, current knowledge of the HIV prevention measures. Index tester must enjoy working with other people, have a compassionate nature and be a good listener. A broad knowledge of diverse cultural beliefs and attitudes is often necessary when working with diverse population.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. He/She is responsible to create awareness and education on the existence of HTS i.e. educating clients on all aspects of HIV diseases and treatment management as well as basic health lifestyles. 2. To serve as liaison between clinicians/clinics, individuals screened and care centers

3. To provide on-going counseling and testing while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. Also to provide psycho social support and assist with linkage to referral services. 4. To assess, document all referrals, make follow-up and report on referral outcomes. 5. To monitor the quality of test kits by the use of suitable control materials/samples from laboratory department. 6. To be in line with current HTS protocols/guidelines to ensure correct testing services (periodic review of standard operating procedures with support from laboratory department). 7. To ensure safe storage of HTS related items and to request/prepare all the necessary consumables for undertaking the HTS activities on time. 8. To compile and submit HTS reports on weekly, monthly and/or quarterly to the HTS focal person on time. 9. To keep accurate HTS records (HTS registers, reports and referral/linkage reports) 10. To work with team member to monitor quality improvement plans with regards to the established performance targets/indicators. 11. Ensure HIV testing is performed according to the National HIV Testing algorithm. 12. To carry out any other duties that may be required by supervisor.

2. OPTIMIZED PITC TESTER( 2 POSTS) Work Station: OPD full time Reports to: CTC Incharge Qualification: Should have at least a certificate/ diploma in Nursing and must have a valid practice license; he/she should have an experience of 1-2 years in the field of expertise is added advantage.

Optimized PITC tester must enjoy working with other people, have a compassionate nature and be a good listener. 3. CLINICAL TRACKERS( 4 POSTS) Work station: CTC, PMTCT clinic Report to: CTC Incharge Full time

Qualification: Clinical tracker should have at least a certificate/ diploma in sociology, Community health, nursing, education
Duties and Responsibilities 1 Identify patients who missed their clinic visit schedule timely and conducttelephone tracking 2 File pulling 1 day before clinic together with lay counselors/ CBHSP 3 Sorting those who are eligible for HVL investigation 4 Phone calling for those who are eligible but did not come for HVL 5 Prepare and share with CBHS providers/ peers/ community volunteers list of clients who were not found through the phone and those who don’t have telephone . 6 Updates all tracking outcome into the tracking register 7 Work with Data officer for entry of tracking outcome into the CTC 2 card and Database 8 Conduct weekly review and ensure all tracking outcome are updated and entered on CTC 2 database 9 Ensure unknown clients are tracked timely and 90% returned to care monthly Work with ART Nurse, CBHS supervisor and data officer to confirm all transfer out in respective facility 10 Provide health education on importance of clinic adherence to the client and family 11 Supporting the patient adherence to medication and clinic visit schedules 12 Record and report tracking services daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly 13 Prepare summary report weekly, monthly and quarterly and submit to site manage and district retention and community officer. 14 Participate in data management and net loss analysis in respective facility and district. 15 Participate in QI activities that aimed to increase retention at facility level 16 Bring up any ideas or comments that may contribute to better system of patient follow up.

17 Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor

4. CLINICAL OFFICER (CO)/ASSISTANT MEDICAL OFFICER (AMO)- ( 1POST) Job Title: Clinical Officer -CO/Assistant Medical Officer - AMO Report to: CTC Incharge Full time Work station: CTC, PMTCT clinic

Qualification: Clinical Officer- CO/Assistant Medical Officer AMO should have at least Diploma/Advanced diploma in clinical medicine

5. LAB TECHNOLOGIST( 2 POST) Report to: Lab Manager Full time Work station: HVL LAB

Qualification: Lab Technologist should have at least diploma/advance Diploma in Medical/Health Laboratory Science.

Job summary: Lab Technologist requires extensive, current knowledge of the HIV prevention measures and HIV viral load (HVL),Lab Technologist have a Knowledge on Implementing

Quality Assurance Activities according to ISO 15189, must enjoy working with other people, have a compassionate nature and be a good listener. A broad knowledge of diverse cultural beliefs and attitudes is often necessary when working with diverse population.
Duties and Responsibilities 1. To store all Samples received at HVL LAB before testing 2. Testing all Samples ,received at HVL LAB 3. To request Laboratory Commodities and Reagents according to Laboratory needs. 4. To Inspect and Store all Laboratory Commodities and Reagents 5. To keep Laboratory data/results after testing 6. To provide on job training to his/her fellow staff 7. Participate in QI activities that aimed to improve Laboratory Service 8. Bring up any ideas or comments that may contribute to better system of patient follow up. 9. Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor
