The Vodacom Internship programme is a 12 month fixed term contract which
provides workplace experience. It allows one to gain valuable work
experience, explore career paths, networking with professionals in the
field, while earning an income. This programme is our pipeline or
transition into permanent roles as opportunities arise. The applicants
need to have completed at least their undergraduate degree or
equivalent.
Start date is 15 November 2022.
The objective of the Vodacom Internship Programme is to:
- Develop a talent pipeline of skilled individuals for the core business areas within Vodacom
- Create opportunities for unemployed graduates with the required qualifications to develop competencies in the digital technology company environment.
The ideal candidate for the programme should demonstrate strong potential in the following areas:

Programmes Requirements
- Must be Tanzanian
- Fresh graduate or graduate with less than 2 years working experience
- Must be 26 years old or younger
- Must have obtained a minimum of upper-second class degree or equivalent
- Degrees in Computer Science/Information Technology, Statistics/Actuarial Science,
- Telecommunication/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Finance, and Sales & Marketing are preferred.

Role Purpose
The Digital Architect is responsible for defining maintaining and evolving the emerging architecture that enables the digital vision and business objectives, maximising the value of technology disruptions into current and future capabilities. This role is responsible for identifying, analysing, and directing the execution of change towards the digital architecture vision and digital business vision, by providing and prioritising “technical epics”.
Job Responsibility
- Manage architecture vision and roadmap in alignment with the Digital Architecture blueprint from Vodacom Group
- Oversee and lead the design, development, and deployment of digital architecture practices, standards, patterns and innovations
- Scout new technologies to enable innovation and identify technical enablers
- Manage innovation and establish the capability to monitor new technology developments and trends in the industry
- Provide expertise on foundational digital architecture best practices and disruptive technology trajectory and implications
- Enterprise architecture governance in agile software delivery
- Definition of integration APIs and ecosystem strategy
- Technology innovation: scouting, screening and evaluation

Description
The Back-End Developer creates the logical back-end and core computational logic of a website, software or information system (using broad technologies such as JAVA, C#, Python etc). Creating prototypes and designs and builds modules and solutions in all iterative cycles, to develop, maintain, and optimize the business outcome.This role is responsible for performing peer reviews, collaborating with architects and other developers to produce design, and ensuring that technical documentation and training is provided for reference and operational support.Typically reports to the Chapter Lead.
Job Responsibility
- Designs and develops code, writes and executes unit and integration tests, and supports testing of deliverables against user and technical story acceptance tests;
- Designs and develops micro-services in Digital Agility Layer supporting specific commercial requirements and customer journeys;

- Understands / uses RESTful APIs and JSON;
