Overview: Enablement Officer 3 posts

As our Enablement Officer, you will directly report to the Partnership Coordinator in conjunction with the Operation Coordinator and team of Field Officers. You will support Agricycle’s MFI partnership relations by developing  and  maintaining  strong  and effective communication materials for the  implementation and promotion of Agricycle’s goals and objectives of transforming food waste into opportunity. You will also have the opportunity to co-lead negotiations with medium and small institutions to partner with Agricycle’s in funding the microprocessors and smallholder farmers

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement Agricycle enablement strategies
  • Research, prospect and pre-qualify partners for funding opportunities.
  • Building on relationships with  institutional supporters of smallholders to access funding opportunities
  • Support smallholders in accessing microfinance loans to afford dehydrators and other equipment.
  • Train Field Officers to effectively communicate Agricycle’s model to prospect partners.
  • Ensure staff understand importance of partnerships strategy and their involvement in implementation
  • Establish partnerships between Agricycle and national development partners
  • Develop  and manage MOUs  as  arise  from  partnerships
  • Maintains  a  database  of  information  relating  to  partners
  • Work closely with all departments to gather insight and information on partnership relations.
  • Any additional reasonable responsibilities provided by the supervising team.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in successfully managing inter-institutional relations,  preferably in the development field
  • University degree in Business Administration,Marketing, Economics, Development  Studies or other  related fields
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  • Demonstrated compassion and empathy, strong work ethic and unimpeachable integrity.
  • Readiness and ability to regularly perform under pressure and within short timeframes.
  • Readiness to travel anywhere in East Africa under short notices and occasionally work odd hours.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer applications, especially: gmail and spreadsheets.

Overview: Administration officer TZ

As our Administration officer, you will report to the Operations Coordinator in Tanzania and work closely with the team in the office and management in fulfillment and execution of duties to ensure efficient management of the office and effective liaison with external partners and contact as delegated. You will be expected to operate and perform to the high professional standards,provide daily administrative office tasks and act as a link between administration and staff, record keeping and maintain inventory of office supplies, organize and facilitate company visitors, effectively communicate and ensure all are performed in high quality and time-sensitive manner and high degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operation.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule meetings and support visitors.
  • Travel arrangements for staff like bookings, flights,cars,hotels, both external and internal events.
  • Carry out administrative duties like typing, copying, binding, scanning etc..
  • Provide information, Corresponding to emails and queries as directed and needed by the team.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory, determine inventory level, place and order supplies.
  • Overseeing office service and maintenance ie. tidiness and cleanliness, plumbing, electricity, lunch supply.
  • Create filing systems both electronic and physical ,write and edit, reports and instructional documents.
  • Handling dispatches, parcel collection and sending to respective end users.
  • Support team to perform tasks related to organization and strong communication.
  • Any other reasonable responsibility given by supervising team members.

Overview: Field Officer TZ

As our Field Officer, you will report to the Operations Coordinator in Tanzania  and work closely with a team of other Field Officers and Sourcing Officers to widen access to agriculture and global markets for smallholders, women and youth. You will mobilize farmers to purchase Agricycle’s processing equipment, train them to meet Agricycle’s food safety and quality standards and coordinate buying their products. You will act as the main link between rural communities and Agricycle in assigned regions within Tanzania  and coordinate with relevant stakeholders like local governments, nonprofits and development agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize smallholder farmers to join Agricycle’s network in order to become certified producers.
  • Facilitate Agricycle’s members to procure necessary equipment, such as dehydrators, for production.
  • Teach Agricycle’s members Good Agricultural Practices and monitor their compliance.
  • Train Agricycle’s members to meet food safety and quality standards and monitor their compliance.
  • Negotiate with Agricycle’s producers to procure multiple products as guided from time to time.
  • Ensure Agricycle’s producers follow requirements for quality products and production goals.
  • Communicate production and activities to other team members and update the digital database.
  • Collect impact, production and demographic data of Agricycle’s members and producers in TZ
  • Assist team members with planning, implementation and monitoring of projects in assigned regions.
  • Link Agricycle to and meet with relevant partners who can support our sourcing and impact goals.
  • Any other reasonable responsibility given by supervising team members.
