Job Title: Key Account Manager – VDEBU34
Role purpose:
To acquire new Customers Accounts for Vodacom Enterprise Business Unit and drive profitable revenue contribution and increased market share from Fixed products and solution offerings.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Responsible for the in country acquisition of Vodacom Enterprise accounts and delivery of profitable, long term business of those accounts to Vodacom
• Meet monthly targets as per agreed KPIs and KPAs in order to increase the annual targeted Enterprise sales.
• Ensures delivery of all financial targets including gross margin, cost to manage, cost to connect, net assets, turnover, operational cash flow and average revenue per user ( ARPU) and account (ARPA).
• Establishes appropriate relationships with customers in Vodacom and leverages those relationships to ensure maximum financial return from Vodacom customers
• Works collaboratively to provide direction on the service relationship for nominated accounts
• Inputs to decisions on new propositions, product mix and services for customers
• Manage customer expectation by aligning various units to ensure end to end timely deliveries within manning SLAs.
• To Interpret and understand client brand need and their budget and communicate the same to the management to capitalize on it.
• Evaluation of competitors strategies and obtain their weaknesses communicate the same to the internal design team and advise the management to capitalize efforts so as to win tenders and pitches.
• Maintain Customer relationships in order to maintain churn rate not above 5% of Individual Existing and new business per annum relative to the Individual targets.
• Ensure relative target on Mobile Voice, Mobile Data and Fixed revenue are met
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
• Experience in solution sales and relationship management (Track record of enterprise solution selling) within Medium and Large companies. Knowledge of mobile Voice, Mobile data and Fixed Line operations, and a technical sales background preferable
• Proven results in successful account acquisition and development in an enterprise multi-national environment.
• Experience of identifying customer requirements and developing creative and innovative customer-centric solutions with an international context.
• Extensive knowledge of Vodacom products and services and their value to customers
• Multilingual desirable.
• Demonstrated success in networking at senior levels amongst industry leaders with strong relationship management skills
• Demonstrated understanding of important financial concepts, the IT&T environments, purchasing practices and industry specific aspects of corporate customers
• An understanding of corporate governance in complex organisations.
• Ability to work and manage in an ambiguous/changing environment
• Proactive, self-motivated, ability to work independently, prepared to cold-call 
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Basic account knowledge
• Experience in handling Key Accounts
• Minimum of 1 year Experience in sales and service
• At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience Sales, Marketing and Customer relations supervision.
• Computer knowledge essential
• Ability to communicate fluently in English

Role Purpose
Support the customer base management strategy for Vodacom Tanzania and delivery thereof through various customer value management activities and initiatives. Configure, execute and monitor direct marketing campaigns that will maximize the customer’s lifetime value through increasing their engagement and growing their revenues/margins.
The primary responsibilities of the role are therefore to manage:
(a) Campaign configuration, execution and monitoring
(b) Ensuring CVM campaigns drive the base management KPIs(Incremental revenue, Engagement(Cross sell/Up sell), Inactivity management

Key Accountabilities
1. Strategy:
Implement and execute a customer value management strategy to maximize customer lifetime value and the contribution of the customer base to overall services revenue. Lead the business transformation to embed CVM and data driven decision-making principles and culture across the organization.Source: AjiraLeo Tanzania
2. Commercial delivery:
Support the implementation of all CVM campaigns e.g. upsell voice customers to bigger voice bundles, cross-sell data bundles into the voice base, inactivity and churn management campaigns, real-time contextual trigger campaigns  
3. CVM operations activities:
4. Responsible for end to campaign management in terms of operations & execution
  • Creation & execution of campaigns within the agreed timelines
  • Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders for gathering requirements and translating them into campaigns after doing a feasibility check and preparation of business requirement specification(BRS)
  • Campaign configuration, User Acceptance Testing(UAT), business rules validation, prioritization, launch & post launch monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external(vendors) support teams to ensure campaigns are running as expected as well as facilitating fixing any technical issues affecting ongoing campaigns within agreed SLAs
  • Reporting: Support the availability of data for reporting of CVM campaigns and initiatives performance
  • Create/maintain all campaign related documentation(Briefs, Change logs, Business Cases, UAT documents, BRS
  • Maintain processes, templates, and other documents that support best practices
  • Do regular review of campaign platform, capabilities, integrations and channels with technical/business teams to give recommendation on future enhancements and improvements to support business needs  
5. Capabilities:
Implement and manage a holistic blueprint for campaign management & fulfilment by scoping out the data-mart layer all the way to the fulfilment layer.
Integrate output through campaign management, charging and fulfilment platforms, by translating CVM objectives to IT / Technical teams
Person Specification
• University degree or equivalent qualifications
• Outstanding systems integration skills to understand customer data(data-mart) and systems integration in campaign platform.Source: AjiraLeo Tanzania
• Strong SQL skills with experience in relational OLTP database models(OLAP is a plus)
• Prior experience of telecom industry is an added bonus
• Open, fact-based approach; ability to understand and translate commercial objectives to technical teams for ensuring delivery of business requirements from campaign platform
• Disciplined detail-oriented style, combined with ability to simultaneously work at an operational level
• Experience in coding with Python, JavaScript environment is an added bonus
