POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Loadout Operator to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the Shaft Section are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to grease conveyor belt
Knowledge and Ability to inspect and report on conveyor belts and pumps
Level housekeeping of conveyor belt
Ability to assist during breakdowns
Adherence to low / no spillage level under the conveyor belt
Communicate with others to coordinate material handling or movement
Recommending and laying out safe, on-site settler systems
Ability to understand underground portable water systems
Ability to assist in loading and offloading material into and from a shaft conveyance
Prepare a conveyance for shaft examination and repairs
Ability to assist during shaft inspections
Cleaning of Sump pumps and maintaining thereof
Maintain dams’ level and report on any deviations
Reporting of Incidents or Accidents in a timely manner in terms of mine regulations
Understanding and management of risks identified
Minimising of risk relating to personnel and equipment in use whilst working in the settler
Manage and maintain daily pre-start checklists on the conveyor belt and report any deviations
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Ordinary secondary education
A conveyor belt certificate will be an added advantage
Blasting Certificate will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar industry (underground)
Experience in shaft operating operation
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal

Job Description

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Winder Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will ensure activities in the Shaft Engineering Department are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings;
- Wear the appropriate PPE for the task at hand;
- Assist and conduct incident/accident investigations;
- Comply with Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Knowledge of main consumer substations, overhead power lines, main compressors, refrigeration plants, main ventilation fans, winders and shaft operations, emergency power generators, high and low voltage installations and reticulation diagrams for underground and surface operations.
- Knowledge of operating and switching for 220KV to 6.6KV
- Overhaul electrical equipment in accordance with set company policies and procedures.
- To Complete required testing and safety checks on electric drills.
- Ability to Generate Power with CAT generators
- Attend breakdowns and complete necessary fault-finding.
- Under the direction of the supervisor, provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced personnel.
- Implementation and execution of all tasks and instructions as instructed by superiors
- Install and maintain of all winders and shaft equipment to reduce unplanned maintenance and optimize availability.
- Overhaul winders and shaft equipment in accordance with set company policies and procedures.
- Carry out defined and necessary checks on winders and shaft equipment.
- Complete modifications to winders and shaft equipment in accordance with specified instructions.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/FTC/Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
- Ordinary/Advanced level certificate – Form IV/VI
- Tanzanian Valid Driving License
- High voltage certificate
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a minimum of 2 Years’ experience in high Voltage Switching (6.6KV ,11KV and 220KV )
- Must have a minimum of 3 Years’ experience on Winder as electrician
- Emergence Power Generation experience is added advantage
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication in English and Swahili, both writing and verbal
- Computer literate in Microsoft Package Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- PLC Knowledge is added advantage

Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Geotechnical Technicians to join our
team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to
the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and on a practical
note this position requires to perform all underground geotechnical
inspections/audits to ensure compliance to support standards as
stipulated in the Ground Control Management Plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct ground condition and support installation inspections/audits to ensure compliance to support standards
- Conduct pre-stoping audit reports to accompany mining instructions
- Conduct routine down-hole borehole surveys of paste holes and report on observed conditions
- Conduct weekly pull tests on installed support to ensure that the support conforms to the required anchor capacity and to ensure that the number of pull tests complies with the 1% as stipulated in the Ground Control Management Plan
- Conduct mapping and core logging and updating of the geotechnical model database with this information
- Identifying and reporting any substandard performances and/or behavior with regards to ground support
- Ensure adherence to geotechnical standard operating procedures and all relevant company procedures
- Provide ground control training for induction and leaders courses
- Collect ground monitoring data and keep accurate records
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Mining Engineering/ Geology/Civil or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in underground mining environment
- Must have a valid Tanzania driving license and able to drive a light vehicle in underground environment
- Must have sufficient communication skills
- Able to maintain accurate records and reports
- Ability to interpret mine layouts
- Basic Computer Skills
- Good Communication Skills, English & Swahili
- Knowledge of any relevant geotechnical or mining design software is beneficial.
- Must have practiced geotechnical engineering during and after obtaining formal education.
- Knowledge of underground mapping and core logging techniques.
