How to check Application Status

Do apply for the University 2022/2023 academic year and need to know your application status. Here we show you the way to get know your Selection status if selected or not selected.

Now, all candidates applied for admission at University 2022/2023 academic year can simply check their admission status via online application system by following simple steps:-

READ THIS

  • Visit UDSM online application system
  • Then after opened must login in the system using information create during application that is:-
    • Username
    • Password
  • Then after you can view your selection status by clicking menu
  • Then click Selection Results

1. Single Selected Applicants 

TThose are students who selected with one university. If you selected with university or courses that doesn’t interested you can unconfirm your admission and apply for the next round Here

2. Multiple Selected Applicants 

Those are the students who applied for the admission and they selected in more than one university. Students with multiple selections/admission are required to confirm their admission status to only one university that they have been selected.

SELECTION RESULTS: ROUND ONE – 2022/2023

Selection results for Round One are now available in applicants’ accounts at https://udsm.admission.ac.tz. Please log in your application account to view the results. We Congratulate and Welcome all those selected to join the University of Dar es Salaam.

Important Information:

  1. Candidates with single admission at UDSM are automatically confirmed to join UDSM.
  2. Candidates with multiple admissions are required to confirm their offers through their admission accounts. Please request a CODE, then enter the CODE on the given slot, finally click CONFIRM.
  3. Confirmed candidates will be served with Admission Letters on 20th October 2022 after all rounds of selections are completed.

Important Dates: Candidates with Multiple Admissions (candidates selected by more than one institution)

  1. 24th August 2022: Multiple admission status displayed in applicants’ admission accounts and confirmation of admission offer begins
  2. 6th September 2022: Deadline for confirmation of admission offer

Please note that failure to confirm by the deadline will indicate that you have not accepted the offer, and other applicants will fill your slot.

Beware:

  • No payment is required to obtain a confirmation CODE
  • The codes can only be requested through applicants’ admission accounts

Remember:

  • To use your email address as username to login into your account
  • To use the same password you provided when creating your account

ANNOUNCEMENTS

SECOND WINDOW OF APPLICATIONS will open on the 24th August 2022 to 6th September 2022. You are all invited to re-apply or send a new application if you missed the first round.

If you are facing difficulties in receiving control number in your admission account please do the following:

  1. Refresh (or login to) your admission account.
  2. If the control number is still not in your admission account after refreshing, please send an SMS containing your names and email address (username) to the telephone number 0744 026 893 to get assisted.

POSTGRADUATE APPLICATIONS

The University of Dar es Salaam invites applications for admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2022/2023

Academic Year 2022/2023:

  • July intake is still open.
  • October intake 2nd Batch is now open and it will be closed on 30th September 2022.

KINDLY NOTE:

  • Occasional mode of delivery lasts for 1 semester
  • Short term mode of delivery lasts for 12 months (1 year)
  • Sandwich < 1 year

Successful applicants will be notified within four weeks after closing dates of the Applications .

Instructions on how to apply for various postgraduate programmes (Masters programmes,Postgraduate programmes and PHD) at UDSM

NEW APPLICANTS

STAGE 1: REGISTRATION FOR AN ADMISSION ACCOUNT:

Register for an account in our system by clicking REGISTRATION button at the POSTGRADUATE tab
     

Note: In order to register for an account in the admission system you will need to provide the following details:
  • First name
  • Surname
  • Email Address
  • Mobile Telephone Number
  • To finalize registration you will need to put in a password of your choice that you will use whenever you wish to log into the admission system.
  • And lastly fill in the characters captcha as will be shown in the page, i.e. Captcha then click register button at the bottom to register for an account.

If you are successfully registered, then the system will send you an email. Please log into your email account and use the link sent into your email to activate your admission account.

  • Note: at this stage. Your username is: your email address

Your Password is:   the password you supplied

STAGE 2: MAKE APPLICATION:

  1. When you are successfully logged into your account you will find notification that your account is successfully activated (please open the notification)
  2. Click at    My Application button to start application
  3. You will be presented with four[8] steps to finish the application

              Step 1: MY PROFILE   

  1. Chose application category:
  2. Write names as they appear in your academic certificates
  3. sex, Country of Citizenship and Disability Type if any

              Step 2: APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT

  • Non-refundable Application Fee is :
    1. Local Students:  TZS. 50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand only)
    2. Foreign Students USD. 50.00  (Fifty US Dollar only)

Use the reference number shown to pay application fee by using mobile money services ie. Mpesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money for Local Students.  Foreign Students application fee is payable using the SWIFT code: NLCBTZTX through A/C Number: 012105005554, University of Dar es Salaam,  NBC Bank, Samora Branch.

 Payment procedures of application fee for local students using mobile money services are detailed below:

  • Vodacom Number
    1.  Open your mpesa by dialling *150*00#
    2. Then choose 4: Pay by M-Pesa (Lipa kwa Mpesa)
    3. Then choose 5: Government Payment (Malipo ya Serikali)
    4. Then choose 1: Reference Number (Weka namba ya kumbukumbu)
    5.  Enter the Reference number( Ingiza number ya kumbukumbu ya malipo): 99143XXXXXX

NB: Reference number should be taken from your admission system account at ‘the make payment’ button which is shown in red colour: eg. Reference no  99143XXXXXX

  • Tigo Number
    1. Open your Tigo-Pesa Number dialling *150*01#
    2. Choose 4: PAY bill/(LIPA Bili,)
    3. Choose 5: Malipo ya Serikali
    4. Enter Reference number/(Tafadhali ingiza namba ya malipo): 99143XXXXXX

NB: Reference number should be taken from your admission system account at ‘the make payment’ button which is shown in red colour: eg. Reference no 99143XXXXXX

  •  Airtel Number
    • Airtel Money Number dialling *150*60#
    • Choose 5: (Lipia bili)
    • Choose 5: Malipo ya Serikali
    • Enter Reference number/Namba ya kumbukumbu ya malipo: 99143XXXXXX

NB: Reference number should be taken from your admission system account at ‘the make payment’ button which is shown in red colour: eg. Reference no 99143XXXXXX

After payment, the system will automatically update and allow you to proceed to step3

Step 3: ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

  1. Select College/School
  2. Select intake
  3. Then select Programme that you wish to apply at that intake
  4. Then select Programme category
  5. Then select Delivery Mode
  6. Then select Sponsorship Type
  7. Then tick in the appropriate box on ‘How did you find out about the Postgraduate Programmes at the University of Dar es salaam?’

Step 4: EMPLOYMENT RECORDS

  • Click ‘Add’ button to complete employment records

Step 5: QUALIFICATION

Click ‘add your academic records’ button to fill in the appropriate academic records

Step 6: REFEREES

  • Click ‘add referees’ button to fill information of  the two (2) referees required
  • Then select ‘create’

Step 7: DOCUMENTS

  • Click ‘upload attachments’ button to select and upload appropriate documents

Step 8: SUBMISSION AND DECLARATION

  • Read carefully TCU Admission guidebook that has all criteria and requirements to be admitted for each programme.
  • Apply the programme by considering your Form Six NECTA Results or Diploma.
  • Avoid to apply for the courses with higher competition while you result are not good because you will have no great chance to be selected.
