W.E. Grow PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
W.E. Grow is a personal empowerment project that aims to empower the women of the Kazi na Sala women’s group in the social and interpersonal areas affecting their lives. The long-term goal of W.E. Grow is that the women in Msitu wa Tembo will feel empowered personally, within their families, and as members of a larger society. W.E. Grow provides a personal empowerment program for each woman to increase their agency on individual, relational, societal, and institutional levels. Then, through group support, they may start paving the way towards their personal objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the Project Coordinator is to support the Program manager and team members in daily operating duties whilst working together towards long-term goals and strategies. This will support the project to become more sustainable and assist the women involved to become more independent and empowered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Gain thorough understanding of current status of the project and plan with the team on appropriate strategies and objectives
· Work with team to review Establish a strategy with the leaders to increase membership and attract active members
· Create W.E. Grow/empowerment related and implement curriculum that covers: conflict resolution, empowerment concepts, leadership, and group communication
· Prepare curriculum + activities necessary to conduct and clarify to reach the objective
· Ensure to collect data and review M&E system and survey – content and methodology, research and develop tools required for projects
· Develop and implement gender policy within the organization
· Support the Program Manager in areas necessary
· Build databases and gather relevant information
· Support communication of TATU goals with the community members and vice versa
· Assist in budgeting and accounting of projects
· Develop social media content to promote project initiatives

SELECTION CRITERIA
It is essential for you to have:
· An undergrad degree in either International Development, International Relations, Community Development, Gender Studies, Women’s Studies or a relevant degree
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Proven time management skills
· Innovative and analytical thinker, with an ability to find solutions to complex problems whilst incorporating the values of the organization
· Cultural sensitivity
· Ability to work well in a team and autonomously
· A proficient level of English skills, writing and oral
· Passion and values that align with TATU Project 

It is desirable for you to have:
· Experience working/volunteering and living overseas, preferably in a developing country
· Experience working/volunteering with a NGO
· Experience in project coordination
· A good of grasp of accounting and finance concepts
· Computer literate across MS office applications

CONDITIONS
· The volunteer position is UNPAID.
· The minimum time commitment is 3 months, but there are opportunities to extend on mutual agreement
· VISA, flights and health insurance are not included
· The volunteer house and office is located in Moshi, Tanzania
· The working week will mainly consist of office hours with one or two days working on the field

The communication & fundraising department
TATU Project is an organization that depends on its own funding activities as well as external funding. The main point of our strategy is to have a variety of sources of income and try to be as sustainable as possible.

Job Description
The F&C manager will work closely with the project managers and the communication staff, liaise with our partners and collaborate with our team members from all around the world. The manager will support the everyday operations related with external communication and fundraising activities.

The F&CManager objectives are: effectively lead, manage, coordinate and monitor all fundraising and external communication activities in the organization in order to enable and ensure smooth functioning and increase funding.
The F&C Manager is also responsible for managing the Communication & Fundraising team of volunteers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate wider awareness of TATU Project through the development and implementation of an integrated communications and fundraising strategy which incorporates digital marketing, corporate fundraising, direct mail, legacy fundraising and other methods.
  • Liaise effectively with the CEO and staff, the Board of Directors, supporters, suppliers and the media in achieving the fundraising and communication objectives of the NGO.

COMMUNICATION
Production of communications materials, press releases and online content, as well as the marketing campaigns that exist in the calendar of activities for TATU Project.
Maintain all social media portals and the TATU Project website to continuously engage supporters, donors and friends of the organisation and develop meaningful connections.
Management of all the Corporate Communication of the organisation. 

FUNDRAISING
  • Continue to develop the corporate fundraising potential of the organisation, which is a substantial area of growth for TATU Project.
  • Be responsible for the fundraising strategy and calendar of events, that will support TATU Project.
  • Engage in researching, identifying and testing new ideas in addition to the fundraising calendar of events and continuously develop the NGO's fundraising strategy.
  • Grant applications
Selection Criteria
It is essential for you to have:
  • Experience in communication and fundraising for the not-for-profit or commercial sector.
  • Working knowledge of publishing software for graphics design, video-editing and production.
  • Excellent knowledge of fundraising techniques including, but not limited to: proposal writing; public relations; prospect research; donor relations and stewardship.
  • Good writing skills
  • Good computer skills and database management experience.
  • A proficient level of Spanish and English, written and oral

It is desirable for you to have:
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work to deadlines.
  • Sensitive and responsive to core values gender, equity, culture, traditions and justice within the communication of the NGO.
  • Experience with international non-profits

Conditions
  • The minimum time commitment is 1 year, preferably more.
  • Flight, insurance and personal expenses on site are at the charge of the volunteer.
  • Accommodation in the NGO house for no fees – can be a shared room depending on occupancy rate (it fluctuates!)
  • All work related costs, such as transport to the community & communications will be covered by the NGO
  • VISA will be covered by the NGO
  • A stipend of 400,000 TSH will be provided
  • Availability: As soon as possible
