 SUMMARY: In accordance with Section 7A (4) of the National Elections Act, Chapter 343 and Section 10 (6) of the Local Government Elections Act, Chapter 292, reads as well as Rule 9 of the Rules for Improving the Permanent Register of Voters Polls, Presidential and Parliamentary Elections for 2018 and Article 12 of the Rules Improvement of Permanent Register of Voters, Annual Councilor Election 2018.

DODOMA History

Originally a small market town known as Idodomya, the modern Dodoma was founded in 1907 by German colonists during construction of the Tanzanian central railway. The layout followed the typical colonial planning of the time with a European quarter segregated from a native village.

The Dodoma Urban Registration Officer would like to inform you that, the exercise of Improvement of Permanent Voter Register in all Council Councils of The city of Dodoma begins soon.  In the Permanent Register Improvement exercise.
