Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities, including obstetric fistula repairs. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high-risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

Job Overview CCBRT is seeking organized and detail-oriented Cashier, Billing and Registration Clerk to join our Billing & Credit Control Unit.

Your Role To facilitate accurate and timely billing and payment collection via mobile means (cashless) from cash-paying patients and for insurance-covered patients ensuring compliance with insurers requirements while following hospital procedures and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect payments via mobile money, POS, local bank transfer and Wallet
  • Provide excellent services and ensure daily closure of the patient bills
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before billing
  • Ensure correct and complete billing details in line with insurance contracts
  • Guide patients on their insurance limits, co-payments, or exclusions/not covered
  • Collect any balance not covered by insurance (co-pay or self-pay)
  • Ensure patients understand their bills and payment options available
  • Handle disputes or issues in a calm and professionally with patients and any other stakeholder
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient health status
  • Comply with hospital finance and billing SOPs
  • Perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor

Your Qualifications and Competencies

  • Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or related Field equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year working experience
  • Basic Computer knowledge & Skill (Excel and Word)
  • Knowledge of Insurance & NHIF Procedures will be added advantage
  • Customer care and hospitality

CCBRT is Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services in the country. We’re committed to empower people with disabilities and their families, improving their quality of life, and ensuring access to medical and rehabilitative treatment. Purpose of the Role In order to strengthen our ENT unit, we are looking for a dynamic ENT Specialist interested in medical and surgical care of patients in the ENT unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality medical and surgical care to patients in the ENT unit of the General Surgery Department at CCBRT, operating in the Outpatient Department (OPD), Inpatient department (IPD), and Operating Theatre department (OTD).
  • Provide quality clinical services, which include, but are not limited to:
    • Attending OPD clinics (as necessary) for screening for ENT clients
    • Review patients presented to you by junior doctors for your specialized opinion
    • Conduct ENT surgeries
    • Participate in on call duties when applicable
    • Participate in ward rounds
    • Examining patients, and assist in making a decision for patients scheduled for operation
  • Supervise junior doctors at OPD and in the ward
  • Attend and receive the morning briefing report every day or as may be scheduled
  • Offer expert specialized opinion to all patients who might need your service in your department and other departments when requested for consultation
  • Contribute to marketing CCBRT ENT services
  • Participate in clinical audits, clinical research and provide medical legal advice whenever needed
  • Be involved in developing disease guidelines, protocols and standard operating procedures for ENT services
  • Ensure quality of medical data
  • Contribute to the establishment of a learning & research culture at CCBRT

Candidate Requirements

  • Master Degree in Medicine with specialization in ENT from a recognized institution
  • Registered by Medical Council of Tanganyika as MMED in Otorhinolaryngology
  • At least 3 years’ experience as surgeon
  • Competent to perform all medical and invasive procedures relevant for the area of practice
  • Strong planning skills and a methodological approach to problem solving
  • Effective counseling skills
  • Excellent communication skills; Proficient in English, Swahili is an added advantage
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
