CBM Tanzania is seeking a committed Board Member with expertise in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Program Management to strengthen our leadership team. This is a voluntary position that offers the opportunity to contribute at a strategic level to one of the world’s leading disability-inclusive development organizations.
Role of the Board
The Board Member will:
- Provide strategic guidance and expertise to advance CBM Tanzania’s mission.
- Ensure strong governance, accountability, and compliance with Tanzanian law.
- Support strategic growth, financial planning, and fundraising efforts.
- Act as an ambassador for CBM Tanzania in your networks and sector.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a leader with:
- Professional expertise in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Program Management (essential).
- At least 10 years’ professional experience, with governance or leadership exposure.
- Knowledge of disability inclusion, international development, or related fields (desirable).
- Ability to analyse management and financial reports and provide strategic input.
- Strong interpersonal, advocacy, and networking skills.
- Commitment to CBM’s vision, values, and safeguarding standards.
We particularly encourage applications from Tanzanian nationals, women, and persons with disabilities.
Time Commitment
- Quarterly Board Meetings (4 per year, approximately 2–3 hours each).
- Annual General Meeting and occasional strategy workshops.
- Occasional field visits and networking events.
- Estimated total: 10 days per year.
