As Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services, CCBRT focuses on preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible. The organization is extensively engaged in maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities, including obstetric fistula repairs. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries in the Dar es Salaam region and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
Vacancy Overview CCBRT is seeking a vibrant, sharp, and experienced hospital receptionist to enhance front office services. The position is offered under volunteer guidelines, with CCBRT volunteer terms and conditions applying.
The Role The Receptionist at CCBRT Hospital plays a critical role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient front office experience. Responsibilities include:
- Providing relevant, accurate, and complete information on services available at CCBRT.
- Responding promptly to questions and needs of patients and visitors.
- Maintaining a clean and well-kept receptionist workstation and patient/customer sitting area.
- Receiving and channeling patient/customer feedback to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
- Responding courteously to inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors via telephone, email, and in person.
- Verifying client bookings upon arrival.
- Using polite language while serving patients.
- Adhering to CCBRT guidelines and protocols.
- Ensuring client confidentiality is observed.
Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Diploma in Customer Service, Office Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certificate of Secondary Education.
- At least 3 years of experience in customer service, record keeping, or a related field.
- Medical background or experience working in a hospital environment is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office package).
- Energetic, flexible, and skilled at multitasking.

Job Opportunity: Hospital Services Costing Officer (Ref: 2025-26) To strengthen the Billing & Credit department, CCB tableRT is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Hospital Services Costing Officer. This role focuses on driving service uptake, building strategic partnerships, and growing the client base to enhance the hospital’s impact and sustainability.
Role and Responsibilities The Hospital Services Costing Officer will be responsible for:
- Driving the growth of hospital services through strategic client acquisition, partnerships, and market outreach.
- Identifying new business opportunities to expand the hospital’s reach.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key clients, including corporates, insurers, and referring doctors.
- Promoting hospital services to increase patient volumes and revenue.
- Collaborating with marketing, operations, and clinical teams to position CCBRT as a provider of choice in a competitive healthcare market.
Qualifications and Work Experience The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a medical field (e.g., MD, DDS, LAB, Nursing, etc.) from a well-recognized institution.
- Formal training in Business Administration or related fields is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare business role or a comparable position.
- Strong understanding of hospital operations and medical services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A proven track record in achieving sales targets.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
