- To ensure all safety and work reports are submitted to Mine Geology Supervisor at the end of each shift.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To Ensure an effective movement, distribution, and safe receipt of supplies and materials. Follow up shipments to make sure the consignments are shipped from Suppliers/Freight Agent to our destination arriving on time and safely; also ensuring all cargo clearance activities are done timely and compliant to customs regulations and procedures. Making sure import and export clearance is done timely. QUALIFICATIONS:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To supervise execution and maintain an effective grade control drilling, ore mining and movement process in order to ensure that only the right ore materials are delivered to the mill.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Geology, Exploration and /or Mining.
- Valid Tanzanian Driving License with Mining Driving Permit.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least eight (8) years of geology experience in Open Pit Mining Environment.
- Knowledge of Open Pit Mining ore accounting and ore management.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Planning
- Flagging of ore perimeters using tapes and rock marking paints as per ore plan ore boundary map in a timely manner without affecting production
- Supervision of ore mining in assigned active pit in accordance with dilution and ore loss procedure and that ore been delivered to the correct fingers at satellite ROM pad as well as at the main ROM.
- Counting and recording all the truck tallies mined from each ore perimeter by the use of Tallies and Toughbook.
- Record all ore movements from the pit and ROM PADs so that accurate data can be provided for reconciliation.
Support
- Provide Direct Output Support (DOS) to Mine Geologists regarding Ore mining and dilution control.
- Provide DOS to the Mine Geologists on developing and complying with the Mine Geology technician/technical aid – ore control instructions and monthly mining and blending schedule.
- Assist the reconciliation process by providing quality data for Ore mined and crushed and follow the changes made to stockpile.
- Assist Mine Geologists in providing timely information leading to facilitate ore loss/dilution reconciliation with modular dispatch on a shift bases.
- Make sure there are no oil leaks from any machines in the pit, if leaks develop whilst in the pits, get the equipment off the ore zone as soon as practical.
- Make sure service areas in pits for machinery are identified and communicated to Mining Geologists for mark out.
Technical work
- Ensure the integrity of ore mining is maintained, reliable and correct data is collected, and report presented to the ore accounting officers for daily capturing.
- Ensure HME operators (digger, dozer, grader etc), and bench foremen are correctly following ore control procedure.
- Reconcile the pit truck tallies and ROM Pad tallies to dispatch for the purpose of providing quality data for Connected Mine (CM) report.
- Identify all potential causes for ore loss and dilution during ore mining, report any adjustment or rectification required to ore perimeter any changes should be indicated on the plan for references.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses and recommend focus points to improve the process of ore mining as well as the ore control procedures in place.
- Ensure all necessary consumable and markups are in place before ore mining i.e. toe line well marked, batter pegs, and TBM in place for floor level control.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To ensure that emergency response programme at Geita Gold Mine is of standard level that facilitates optimal operation in terms of timely response, cost effectiveness and of international standard level of operation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of Secondary Education and Diploma in Nursing/Clinical Officer and a Paramedic.
- Qualification issued by accredited authority such as BLS, ACLS, ITLS and critical care monitoring.
- Registered with Medical Council of Tanganyika or the Tanzania Nurses and Midwifery Council.
- Must possess a valid Tanzania Driving License Class B & D and must pass site driving assessment.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in clinical/emergency setting.
- Experience in a remote healthcare setting with the provision of emergency medical.
- Experience in emergency response/stabilization and primary healthcare.
- Experience in health prevention and promotion programmes, including first aid trainings.

- Assisting in visual examinations, audiometric testing, lung function testing and physical examinations whenever required.
- Assisting the pharmacist with the stocktaking by receiving, packing, or counting medical stock.
- Monitor Emergence Response system.
- Recommend improvement in areas of non-compliance based on monitoring, quarterly reviews, and annual audit findings.
- Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response program site wide.
- Coordination and training of rescue teams, carry out evacuations and drills as per schedule.
- Ensuring that all emergency equipment and company assets allocated to the section are maintained in a good working order.
- Ensure all first aid boxes are well equipped and managed.
- Maintain ER and keeping it neat and orderly.
- Provide pre-hospital emergency care to patients within the site and outside the mine whenever required.
- Train other medical staff on emergency issues.
- Manage lower-level administrative issues.

- Perform and oversee daily equipment and ambulance checklists.
- Liaise with the Staff physician with regards to medical issues as required.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role is responsible for selection and implementation of best-case geotechnical plans and designs to deliver on the core objective of optimizing mineral resource extraction through balancing value extraction against geotechnical risks. Providing an adequate understanding of Life of Mine geotechnical risks, developing and recommending options for appropriate mitigation measures. Managing quality control and assurance processes for the mine’s ground support and backfilling practices and ensuring that the quality control practices are kept up to date and relevant. Providing operating unit leadership for the geotechnical function aimed at harnessing benefits of continual improvement through process design and implementation of new knowledge, technologies, and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering/ Engineering Geology/ Geology or its equivalent.
- Post graduate Diploma or degree in Geotechnical Engineering if the first degree is not in Geotechnical or Engineering Geology.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 8-10 years of Geotechnical Geology experience in large surface and/or underground mining environments.
- Expert knowledge of geotechnical data gathering, analysis, interpretation, modeling, design, and quality assurance techniques.
- A good understanding of hydrogeology and ground stability mitigation is essential.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Developing Geotechnical Inputs into Efficient Life of Mine Planning
- Ensure all operating surface and underground mines have fully documented and approved geotechnical designs in place.
- Develop options based on the risk-cost-benefit analysis of the geotechnical designs for review and approval by the Technical Services Senior Manager.
- Ensure geotechnical parameters for all surface and underground mines planned for Level 1 in the Geita business plan have above ‘inferred’ level of confidence.
- Review all surface or underground mine designs from the mine planners and provide recommendations and sign-off on agreed final designs.
Geotechnical Risk Management
- Develop and maintain site-specific Geotechnical Risk Registers and Management Plans for all active surface and underground mines.
- Provide adequate profiles of the status of all geotechnical risks and mitigation measures that have been identified within the Life of Mine plan.
- Update Geotechnical Risk Registers and Management Plans on an annual basis.
Slope and Ground Support Management Controls
- Develop and maintain plans for monitoring and management of slope movement and ground stability to ensure safety and minimize ore loss and dilution for all active surface and underground mines.
- Provide motivation for resources where required to ensure adequate coverage and up-to-date understanding in key input area:
- Seismicity impact studies available from published sources
- Hydrogeology and flood studies
- In situ stress studies
- Geotechnical and terrain hazards risk assessment.
Managing Quality Control and Assurance for Ground Support and Backfilling Practices
- Implement an onsite quality control and assurance monitoring program for ground support installation and Cemented Aggregate Fill (CAF) undertaken at all underground mines.
- Provide motivation for resources and training where required to ensure undertaking of quality control and assurance programs are kept up-to-date, relevant, and meet international standards.
Technical Specialist for Geotechnical Discipline
- Provide sufficient knowledge and experience to work with all technical disciplines to ensure that geomechanics is considered as an integral and foundation step in the mining production cycle regarding optimizing extraction of the ore.
- Provide technical assistance to the Technical Services Senior Manager in dispatching the duties of developing Business Strategy and Life of Mine Options and Ore Reserve reporting.
- Maintain the health of the geotechnical discipline on site to ensure it is kept up to date and relevant.
- Implement continual process improvement in the geotechnical discipline to reduce process variation.
- Keep up to date with global developments in the geotechnical field with the objective of remaining relevant and in step with new technology and best practice.
Coordinating Geotechnical Review Panels and External Audits
- Ensure Geotechnical Review Panels (GRPs) are undertaken on an annual basis and provide AGA internal assurance.
- Ensure external audits, are undertaken once every three years, to provide third party / independent assurance.
- Compile a plan of action for issues arising from the audits for the Technical Services Senior Manager’s approval and implement the plan within the agreed timeframe.
Management of Geotechnical Budget and Projects
- Identify, plan, scope, and budget for all Life of Mine critical geotechnical requirements.
- Ensure that approved geotechnical projects are implemented within required scope, timeframes, and budget.
Training and Development of Geotechnical Staff
- Building and sustaining a capable geotechnical team to manage the requirements for surface and underground mining.
- Develop and maintain training and development plans for personnel and ensure they are being implemented.
- Perform regular performance reviews and align your coaching and training to close identified gaps.
Safety
- Make sure the geotechnical team understand their Safety accountabilities and they are suitable for the work they are tasked to do.
- Ensure that work is planned, adequately resourced and that hazards are identified and controlled.
