NEC Job Vacancies at Zanzibar May 2024 :The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the vacancies for officials of the Parliamentary By-Election in Kwahani State which will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024. According to the announcement signed by the Director of Elections of the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Commission expects to conduct the By-Election of Member of Parliament of Kwahani State, Urban District, Urban West Zanzibar Region on June 8, 2024.
In carrying out that responsibility, the Commission advertises job vacancies to find Executives who will supervise the exercise.

The vacancies are as follows:- Electoral Officer (One Position)
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and managing Election activities in the relevant District.
- Supervising and monitoring the performance of Election Executives under him. To take care of Election equipment in the relevant District. Managing the use of Election funds.
- Collaborating and consulting with the Election Coordinator in bringing efficiency to Election activities.
- To provide information on the conduct of the election process based on the instructions of the Independent
- National Election Commission.
Qualifications of the Electoral Officer
- Be a citizen of Tanzania. Be a public servant.
- Must have a Bachelor’s or higher diploma, Diploma or Diploma in any field. Be a resident of the relevant District.
- Be fair and honest. Be willing to commit and be able to work without close supervision. Must have experience in Election/Voter Registration issues.
- Within five years, he must have never been convicted in a disciplinary proceeding or any criminal offense and punished with imprisonment exceeding six months. Awe has never been the leader of a political party for five years.
Assistant Electoral Officer State Level (Two Positions)
Responsibilities
- Supervise all Election activities in the respective State. Assisting the Election Officer in all Election matters. Applicant Qualifications Be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Be a Public Servant. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher Diploma or diploma in any field. Be a resident of the relevant District. Be willing to commit and be able to work without close supervision. Must have experience in matters of Elections/Voter Registration.
- Be fair and honest.
- He has never been convicted in a disciplinary proceeding or any criminal offense and punished with imprisonment exceeding six months.
- He has never been a leader of a political party.
