In 2017, the company was acquired by new shareholders and subsequently, in 2019, the company name changed from Mihan Gas Company Limited to The Gas Company Limited to reflect company’s new Vision and Mission. The Gas Tanzania Limited operates under The Gas and Mihan Gas brands as observed through its LPG cylinders and other related equipment. The Gas Company has other 20 operating depots in Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Iringa, Kahama, Kigoma, Songea, Njombe, Manyara, Bukoba, Geita, Tabora, Musoma, Arusha, Sumbawanga, Tanga and Shinyanga.
