JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary

At BUTL OIL, as a Fuel Service Station Manager, you will be the company’s point person to provide general leadership, direction and management for operation of station and staffs as follows
· Ensure sales and marketing objectives established within the allocated resources are achieved with growth trajectory

Recommended:

· Product(s) stock management
· Manage the recruitment, training, deployment, payroll of station employees
· Communicate with station employees on operational and other station related matters
· Ensure all station employees provide the required standard of customer service
· Ensure all station operations comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental policies
· Manage and safe guide financial, and other assets of the station
· Review and monitor on station’s financial related matters including monitoring price competitiveness
· Any other ad hoc duties as may be assigned by management

SPECIFIC PERIODIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Forecourt Section:
1. Meter readings (manual & electronics)
2. Seals checking (Weight &Measures seals & pumps seals)
3. UST dippings
4. Water checking
5. Density checking
6. Goods/Government documents signing
7. Staffs’ attendance register verification
8. Fuel offloading supervision
9. Purchases and sales register

B. Sales Section:
1. Daily sales collection
2. Pumps sales records
3. Changing shifts
4. Stock take
5. Daily stock sheets
6. Bank deposits
7. Storage of cash
8. Ensure an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during the shift

1. Housekeeping checking
2. Traffic management in the forecourt
3. Reporting of all incidents
4. Security management within the station
5. Enforcing of no mobile phones use by forecourt attendants
6. Recognizing and reporting faults of all equipments in a timely manner

8. Electricity room checking
9. Service bay checking
10. Station compound (general checking)

D. Marketing Section:
1. Dealing with customers in general
2. Dealing with difficult customers
3. Sales promotion
4. Price survey of competitor stations

E. Human Resources Section:
1. Station supervisor supervision
2. Staff dress code and general appearance supervision
3. Staff Memo`s
4. Disciplinary measures
5. Reporting and recording injuries
6. Training of staff

WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Sales Section:

1. Weekly report
2. Stock take

B. Human Resources Section:
1. Weekly staff meeting

MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Sales Section:

1. Monthly report.
2. Monthly stock cut-off report
3. Monthly stock purchases report

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree or diploma holder in business administration or any related discipline,
  • Computer application literacy Minimum 1-2 years managerial experience in retail petrol station, service sector
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate staff effectively towards achieving excellent customer care standards and sales targets
