Influencing Programme Manager at Tearfund

 Tearfund is looking for an experienced Influencing Programme Manager [IPM] in Tanzania. The Influencing Programme Manager will be responsible for implementing Tearfund’s advocacy and influencing work in Tanzania in line with the organization’s strategy.

Recommended:

The IPM will be required to build networks and partnerships to influence government policies and social-cultural practices. Additionally, the IPM will develop a preparedness plan to respond to crises and promote Church and Community Transformation, Environmental and Economic Sustainability, and Reconciled and Peace Filled Societies.

Tearfund is a UK based, Christian INGO working in 50 countries around the world, to lift people out of poverty, using local partners and churches wherever possible.

The scope of the role involves:

  • Influencing change, via networking, opinion shaping and/or policy making
  • Working with local church-based organisations
  • Substantial community development experience working in the local context
  • Substantial influencing, church mobilisation approaches and advocacy experience
  • Leading teams, including performance management and capacity building
  • Commitment to project quality, and associated assurance processes
  • Strategic planning, project management and budget management

Operational Support Administrator at Tearfund

Tearfunds’ Southern & East Africa Team is looking for an experienced Administrator with high level of accuracy and attention to detail to be based in Tanzania.

As Operational Support Administrator you will be providing administrative, finance and logistics services. In particular, to maintain electronic and paper filing systems, analyse and coordinate statistics and assist with project work.

You would be line-managed by the Quality & Operations Lead and works closely with other members of the Regional team. The role involves liaison with other Tearfund colleagues at all levels as well as members of the public and other external contacts.

Do you have:

  • Qualification in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience of and proven ability to develop and manage a range of administrative processes
  • Experience in working as a team with people from different cultures in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage Microsoft Office Programmes

Are you:

  • An excellent communicator
  • Able to priorise work and work to deadlines
  • A Committed Christian

Regional Influencing Lead at Tearfund

Tearfund a Christian based International NGO, is looking for a Regional Influencing lead for the Southern and East Africa Region (SEA) for model 1 countries to support programmes and projects through local partners.

The Regional Influencing Lead role is key in the organisation’s vision of ending poverty through the provision of high quality support to the SEA region programmes therefore, a mature, experienced and highly motivated operations person is required to:

  • Lead, manage, represent and set the overall direction of strategy, networking, advocacy and influencing work.
  • Work with local church-based organisations and devise mobilisation approaches through envisioning and strengthening the Church, advocating with national authorities, participation in Integral Mission and influencing change in churches, government, society and countries
  • Facilitate sensitive theological conversations among diverse theological perspectives and faith styles.
  • Implement and work in accordance with corporate structures, policies and practices
  • Oversee the strategic planning, project management and budget management
  • Influence change, via networking, opinion shaping and/or policy making
  • Have deep understanding of and engagement with Integral Mission theology
