Food for His Children Tanzania empowers families in
Karatu, Tanzania living with less than $1 per day with resources and
hope so families can restore relationships with God, themselves, their
communities, and creation and lead their communities out of poverty
for generations to come.

We start each new project site by meeting with local village and church leaders in rural Tanzania. We focus on the assets of the community and learn about the strengths and goals of the people who live there. What do they envision for their future? What are the immediate needs for their people? How can we best help? We then invite the community to join us on a journey of transformation. Once we learn how we can best help a community, we get to work.
Oftentimes, the most effective way we can empower is through sustainable goat farming. While the goat provides literal sustenance, with the help of the Gospel, we provide spiritual sustenance. Through both components, recipients undergo a transformation, gaining confidence, faith and self-esteem. Our Field Officers meet individually with families to explore their dreams and goals and then break them into achievable parts.
