This position will be based in DodomaThis entry-level professional serves as a liaison to the local church and assists in strengthening local ownership, capacity, and resources of local church partners to minister to children and youth in their own context.

Recommended:

Under the guidance of his or her supervisor or more experienced facilitators, this facilitator is responsible for nurturing relationships with church partners that are characterized by mutual respect, trust, and service that builds up church ministry. He or she is learning to facilitate partner relationships through the Partner Management core process, for improving achievement of church outcomes, and for bringing a developmental mindset to all other aspects of the partnership. At this level, the incumbent may still be learning and assisting with facilitating church partnerships for his or her assigned location and generally works under the guidance of her or his supervisor or a more experienced facilitator.

Environmental Scanning & Research Specialist III
We’re looking for two specialists to join our new Environment Scanning team who can contribute to advancing organizational knowledge and programmatic effectiveness. You will work closely with our national offices and be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting data to enhance the successfulness of Compassion's programs.

*Environmental scanning is the identification and monitoring of factors from both inside and outside the organization that may impact the long-term strategy.*

What will you do?
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry.   • Advise program managers, field office staff and leadership on relevant programmatic issues when requested and through contribution to and/or leadership of multi-departmental project, creative thinking and analysis teams.
  • Interface with other Compassion departments and individuals who collect information and data to minimize duplication of effort, build cooperation and support the growth of quality information gathering across the organization.
  • Present research findings to audiences to engage non-research staff in research results.

Quantitative Program Effectiveness Research Specialist III
We’re looking for a specialist to join our collaborative international team who can contribute to advancing organizational knowledge and programmatic effectiveness. You will be responsible for carrying out primarily quantitative program effectiveness research studies to support Compassion's child development programs, leadership decision-making and marketing platforms.

Change Manager

As part of a movement to mature our ministry’s Change Management capability, the Global Change Partner brings energy, passion, and global perspective. They will strengthen our international change management capability through subject matter expertise and relationship building.

This individual will be responsible for serving as a Change Manager on key projects/initiatives, such as new services, technology upgrades/deployments, process improvements and other transformational initiatives.  This individual will also promote the growth of global change capabilities across the ministry, advocating for change awareness, adoption, and retention.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Act as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
  • Build change capabilities, including methodology and process including project members, stakeholders, Compassion leadership, the global deployment network, and other change agents.
  • Listen to and build trusted relationships that “bridge” the US-based and international neighbours.
  • Partner with Project Managers to ensure the integration of Change Management with project planning, execution, and reporting.  This includes utilizing and refining Compassion’s internal change management methodology and tools, working with key stakeholders, and helping to integrate across other projects as appropriate. 
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of sound change managements practices to successfully develop a case for change, analyze and manage stakeholders, plan and communicate engagements, analyze impact, assess organizational readiness, and align the organization around key projects and initiatives.
  • Flex between agile, waterfall and hybrid project methodologies to accommodate various project types in the ministry.
  • Listen to and anticipate stakeholder needs and points of resistance, seeking opportunities to develop trusted relationships and solutions that enable effective and efficient delivery of enterprise initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Project Management, Communications, IT, and Learning Services (Training) to define, refine, and deliver an integrated experience across major strategic initiatives.
  • Bring cross-culturally insight from Compassion’s Program countries, through a strong partnership and collaboration with established deployment resources in each area and region.
  • Serve as a thought leader and act proactively to anticipate/mitigate risks.
  • Work with the key stakeholders, including Compassion’s Deployment Network to create and continuously improve a solid Compassion change management methodology.

What do you bring?

  • Global perspective into Compassion’s Change Management methodology, tools, and practices
  • 7+ years progressively responsible Change Management experience on complex projects and programs
  • Complementary proficiency in project management is highly preferred
  • Willingness to flex to accommodate global partnerships
    • Overlap standard United State Mountain Time working hours (8am-5pm) by approximately 3-4 hours as a daily average
    • Flex for other global project/stakeholder meetings as needed
  • Relevant industry certifications required:
    • Prosci ADKAR certification
    • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation by the Association of Change Management Professionals 
  • Skilled at cross-cultural interactions and relationships
