Senior HR Officer – Part-time

Location: Mwanza/Dar – Tanzania

Salary/Grade: Competitive

We are looking to recruit a Senior HR Officer who will be responsible for managing the provision of human resource services, policies, admin and programmes for Railway Children Africa (RCA). The successful candidate will need to have proven experience in HR analytics, employee relations, HR partnering, people and culture management and business operations and be proficient in managing end to end support on various HR processes and admin that impacts on an employee’s life cycle.

This is part-time employment (not consultancy), and the post holder will be expected to work 3 days per week.

Railway Children Africa (RCA) is looking to appoint a dedicated Programme Officer to support with implementing safeguarding for RCA and our partners. The successful candidate will be required to work with RCA and partner staff to ensure our organisations are safe and that the programming and delivery of methodologies upholds good practice and the safeguarding of children and vulnerable persons.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly and as part of a team of technical staff and in coordination with the RCA Program Manager and the Child Safeguarding Lead. They will also contribute to developing and implementing quality assurance processes that will identify areas for improvement and will then coordinate and support in the delivery of further capacity building for front line staff. The staff member will be required to travel 50 to 60% of the time to deliver on this work.
