 Customer Support Specialist

There are more than 500 million smallholder farms globally. 2.5 billion people depend on Smallholder Communities for their food and livelihoods. Smallholder regions are characterized by low living standards, high rates of illiteracy and low agricultural productivity. Yara's mission is "Responsibly Feed the World and Protect the Planet". Key to achieving this is enabling thriving Smallholder Communities. At Yara, the Smallholders Digital Team is part of the Crop and Digital Solutions Unit.

About Crop and Digital Solutions

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work. Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible for developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Support Specialist is a position based in Dar es Salaam with the following responsibilities;
  • Work closely with and support the Digital Enablers , to feed data into the solution backend system
  • Communicate with customers with a strong brand voice and address their enquiries and issues through Zendesk.
  • Manage and update the customer-facing knowledge base and help desk content.
  • Assist in communication between the Performance Marketing/Campaign team and the respective Product Owners for technical issues that affect the customer experience.
  • Provide meaningful feedback to the Product/ Engineering teams to help improve the UX/UI and performance of our digital products. Provide suggestions and enhancements to existing processes to improve overall customer experience.
  • Gather and analyse data to identify customer trends and risk factors.

  • A university degree in business related studies
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in a customer service or customer support role.
  • Display empathy and humility when conversing with customers.
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to details.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individual with tact and tenacity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

About the Unit
YARA Tanzania is duly registered company under the Laws of Tanzania as a subsidiary of Fertilizers Holdings AS. with headquarters in Dar es Salaam. The aim is developing a market concept that increase the number of farmers using fertilizer in Tanzania including better knowledge in plant nutrition, improved distribution and logistics. One of Yara investments in the country includes the construction of a 40 KT bulk terminal near the port of Dar Es Salaam which handles importation of bulk fertilizer, packaging and sale in Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi

Business Controller is a position based in Dar es Salaam reporting to the Head of Finance. This position is responsible to oversee the business and internal controls operations, perform financial analysis and develop financial processes aligned with Yara statutory policies for the local entity.

1. Reporting: Coordinate and deliver, accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
2. Controls: Ensure adequate inventory and debtors controls are in place, appropriate financial controls are maintained to protect the assets of the company.
3. Stakeholder Relationship: Responsible for coordinating with external stakeholders and maintain quality relationships with Banks, Lawyers, Auditors, Tax Authority,

Profile
•A University degree in Finance or Accounting
•Certified Public Accountant – CPA(T)
•At least 5 years working experience in Finance and Accounting within a multinutional organization, preferably with experiences in controlling and reporting

Yara Connect Manager is a position based in Dar es Salaam, with the following responsibilities;
  • Work closely with product managers (digital solution owner/manager) and user researchers, especially to articulate clear, appealing and memorable value proposition for YaraConnect retailers
  • Work closely with regional team and local commercial team to ensure strategic alignment and drive growth of our customer channel, to enable local commercial targets.

HESQ Specialist

HESQ Specialist is a position based in Dar es Salaam reporting to the Plant Manager. This position is responsible for all aspects of HESQ and product stewardship at Yara Tanzania and Rwanda.
