Qualifications and Experience

  • Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Sales Management) is an added advantage.
  • Experience 2–4 years’ experience in merchant acquiring, key account management, sales, or customer relationship roles.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential merchants in the Low Value Merchant (LVM) segment and design tailored plans to migrate them into the Medium Value Merchant (MVM) bracket.
  • Drive adoption of advanced products and value-added services, including lending, insurance, inventory tools, settlements, and ecosystem payment flows.
  • Maintain strong portfolio activity by ensuring at least 60 percent of MVMs transact monthly through proactive engagement.
  • Conduct weekly portfolio health checks to detect declines early and intervene using diagnostics and merchant outreach.
  • Lead reactivation strategies for dormant merchants using analytics, targeted incentives, and structured 90-day follow-up.
  • Execute rescue missions for declining merchants through addressing technical, pricing, competitive, or operational issues.
  • Build strong merchant relationships through regular visits, advisory support, issue resolution, product updates, and tailored training.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MVMs, ensuring fast support.
  • Own revenue delivery for the MVM portfolio, driving growth in transaction volume, frequency, and average transaction value.
  • Reduce cash-out rates by promoting M2M and M2B flows and prepare merchants for future MDR monetization.
  • Use analytics and reporting tools to monitor portfolio health, track migration, measure reactivation outcomes, and report performance.
  • Gather market and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities, influence product, pricing, and campaign strategies.
  • Collaborate with acquisition, High Value Merchant (HVM), product, tech, and marketing teams to enable smooth transitions, issue resolution, and coordinated growth efforts.
