Who we are

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a midstream development located across Uganda and Tanzania that includes a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). Once completed, the EACOP Company will operate the East African Crude Oil Pipeline, a 1,443 km long, thermal insulated crude oil export pipeline that transports oil from Kabaale-Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania for crude export to the international market.

The aim

The EACOP internship and graduate programs focus on cultivating intern talent by providing hands-on experience and industry exposure. These programs support local content by engaging young professionals in various departments, enhancing their technical and professional skills. This initiative contributes to regional socio-economic growth and ensures sustainable development within the East African energy sector.

Internship Program

Selection criteria for internship program

  • Must be Tanzanian.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program from recognized National Universities.
  • Must provide a letter from the university and a copy of a student ID.
  • Current academic scores must reflect a potential minimum of an upper second degree.
  • Must be available full-time for the duration of the internship period.
  • Excellent verbal & numeracy skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Must write and submit an internship application letter.
  • Must be between the ages of 18-28.
  • Women are encouraged to apply.
  • Time frame: The Internship Program will run for three months (12 weeks), from July 7th to September 30th, 2025.
