MAIN PURPOSE
Executing the maintenance, follow-up and monitoring of all MSF IT and Telecom equipment, tools and services, as well as ensuring onsite technical support and training of users under his/her responsibility in accordance with MSF standards, policies, protocols and procedures, in order to guarantee the efficient use of all IT and Telecom services and infrastructure.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Monitoring, maintaining and following up on all Information
Technology (IT) and Telecom equipment, tools and services in the
mission, in accordance with MSF standards, policies, protocols and
procedures;
o Supervising, implementing and improving data security protocols (data
saving, firewall, User Access right, backup, security for equipment and
software, etc.) to ensure data security, availability, and immediate
operational recovery and continuity in case of emergency;
o Providing technical support and presenting MSF standards, policies,
protocols and procedures to all users. Providing advanced technical
support to logistics experts dealing with IT and Telecom systems. When
needed, liaise with the Information Systems (IS) Specialist and/or HQ
Technical Referent for 2nd line support, as well as with external
providers, to ensure any incidents or problems that cannot be solved at
his/her level are appropriately escalated;
o Providing educational support (briefing, training and support, etc.) to all users. Providing advanced educational support
(briefing, training and support, etc.) to logistics experts dealing with
IT and Telecom systems; o Providing regular activity reports for the
sites under his/her responsibility in accordance with MSF guidelines.
Updating and archiving all user and ICT (Information and Communications
Technology) related documentation due to changes in the IT and Telecom
infrastructures;
o Participating in the establishment of the annual budget of the IT and
Telecom families. Providing his/her technical expertise in the local
purchase process;
o Planning, preparing and reporting the visits to the site(s) under
his/her responsibility to ensure the preceding points; o Support on TMS
activities o Carry out scheduled preventive maintenace for all ICT and
Telecommunications equipment o Address corrective maintenance tasks
promptly and efficiently with all ICT and Telecommunications equipment
when needed
o Define and manage stock of ICT-related spare parts to ensure adaquate inventory levels
o Liaise with LTL Liwale and ICT Manager at Coordination to ensure seamless coordination of activities
o Performing any other task, specific to his/her area of specialty, as
defined in his/her job description and according to the line manager.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
o Essential secondary education and formal technical training. Certifications in the domain would be an asset.
Experience:
o Preferably 1-2 years of proven experience in IT or technical functions o Working with NGO is added advantage
Knowledge:
o Expertise in latest version of Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office365)
o Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, network
theory and their respective protocols, main email systems, IT security
best practices and IT service management tools (ITSM)
o Understanding in Server Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, Active directory) and virtualization
(Hyper-V) o Understanding of radio telecommunication concepts (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite) o Training and supporting skills
Languages:
o Knowledge of both English and Kiswahili is mandatory.

Title: HEAD OF DRIVERS
Direct Reports: LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR
Location: LIWALE, LINDI
Coordinating and controlling the operation of vehicles in one location according to traffic regulations and MSF security rules and ensuring that the team of drivers perform properly their duties to ensure an adequate, efficient and safe transport of goods and people.
o Transporting MSF personnel and material ensuring their safety.
o Supervising the team of drivers and monitoring and evaluating their
performance, ensuring compliance with all rules, safety regulations and
MSF instructions, as well as the maintenance and service of their
assigned vehicles which includes preparing and overseeing the drivers’
work schedule, ensuring daily and weekly checks of vehicles and the
correct filling in of administration and vehicle logbook;
o Performing monthly checks of the vehicle inventory, documentation and
first aid kit together with the responsible driver and conducting a
driving test for all new drivers. Performing regular drivers’
assessments.
o Coordinating and supervising the associated resources (drivers) and
fleet management to ensure adequate service in terms of organizing
availability of drivers, vehicles to drive, duty rosters and
replacements in case of absence, and fuel control. Organizing training
courses for drivers
o Checking and ensuring that safety procedures are met in vehicles to
ensure that transportation is in the best conditions of safety for
travelers.
o Reporting any problems with the vehicles (mechanical, accidents…) to
the line manager / technical referent as well as preparing monthly
reports on services, spare parts, consumption, etc. of each vehicle.
o Ensuring maintenance on the fleet of vehicles to be in perfect working
order and that cars are serviced at the desired time to ensure good use
of it and be able to deliver services. o Looking after all equipment
related to vehicles and driver. Ensuring the proper use of radios in
vehicles, numbers and codes, according to MSF protocols and procedures
in place
o Planning vehicles movements , tracking individual trips and ensuring
implementation of security measures o Performing any other task,
specific to his/her area of specialty, as defined in his/her job
description and according to the line manager.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
o Essential literacy, driving license and basic mechanic skills.
