JOB ADVERTISEMENT: ASSISTANT LOGISTIC COORDINATOR (1 POSITION)

The company registered underTIN 107141103 and our operations are in Mara Region, Tabora Region, Shinyanga Region Simiyu Region and Kigoma Region. We are currently looking for Assistant Logistic Coordinator to be part of our Legendary Expedition Team.

Role Summary: Assistant Logistic Coordinator is responsible in overall control of Company Inventory, report on the company inventory internal controls and perform inventory counts so that any kind of fraud can be avoided.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Handling the control of company inventory and paperwork related to the inventory held: ensure all inventory postings (consumption/issuing/receipts/purchases) are correctly entered in GL in SYSPRO.

Organize, and arrange a proper way in which a physical inventory stock taking exercise must be performed, and conduct monthly stock taking for company inventories, and extract reports from SYSPRO

Ensure that the entire group inventory is packed properly and arranged in an organized manner so that minimum wastage occurs and none of the items is impaired.

Make sure that all inventory balances reported on company Financial Statements are reported as per IAS 2 and other IFRS, without violating country specific requirements.

Liaise with company officers with regard to shipment or stock transfer process.

Ensure all purchases orders raised in Syspro have complied with company procedures before being processed further.

Making follow up on overdue and long outstanding unissued approved items, and purchasing orders (P0) in Syspro; and monitor/report on timeous deliveries from suppliers. Inform Logistics on all problem areas.

Communicating with the Purchase Department, suppliers, end users, customs clearing agents, and managers re-purchases order status and delivery status.

Controlling KPI for stores: and control all inventory ledgers, and making accounting adjustments in Syspro if errors occurred.

Compile Inventory Reports for company consumption, issuing, transfers, receiving, and purchasing on regular basis(weekly, and monthly, and annually)

To account and report on all company imports and all local purchases, and ensure the company pays for what has only been delivered as per GRN reports.

Ensure inventory suppliers are paid as per their contracts, or approved orders (quotes/ proforma invoice) in Syspro, or for what they deliver.

Initiating and keeping the policies and measures related to the inventory in order to produce appropriate financial inventory data.

Keeping records of all company importation, and make sure correct duties are paid: proper filing of Imports GRN, Bill of Lading, and other shipping documents

Ensure that the inventories are procured and consumed as per the budget defined by the senior company executives, and analyze the variances on a monthly basis.

Ensure quantity of imported goods received tally with shipping documents, purchases orders, and with TRA Physical Inspection reports before releasing of the goods.

To prepare and compile all required reports for company assets.

Assisting Financial Managers) with monthly FS preparations, and other Management Performance Reports(MPR)

Supervising meticulously all staff underyour supervision, and to study the inventory reports and find out the areas of further perfection.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS

Education:

  • Advanced Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance, Corporate Tax and Auditing, procurement or related field.
  • Must be registered with National Board of Material Management
  • Proven proficiency in computerized accounting applications and Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Google Suite, Accounting Systems, Syspro.

Experience and Skills:

  • Three (3) years applied working experience in stores/finance or similar.
  • Cost & Financial Accounting
  • Budgeting,
  • Project Fund Management
  • Highly motivated, self-disciplined and well organized
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Humble, yet driven with a track record of performance
