Tanzania Postal Codes as provided by TCRA provide a completely new way for Tanzanians and foreigners to access site postal codes. Zip codes can be used in Tanzania for many ways such as filling out forms online.

Tanzania's National Addressing and Postcode System (NAPS) was finalised in 2016. The code has 5 digits. The postal code is written on the same line as, and before, the place name. The first digits indicate the region or a district of Dar es Salaam - please see the administrative districts section below.

Postal Codes in Tanzania

Pursuant to Article 41 of the Electronic and Postal Communications Act 2010, the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) wishes to inform the public that the list of postal codes for the United Republic of Tanzania has been published under the Official Gazette Notice Number 240 dated April 22, 2016.

A postal code is a series of numerical numbers that identify Specific postal delivery point or area and for Tanzania the precisely defined area is the wing. Ilemela District is one of the seven districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania with a postcode number 33200. It is bordered to the north and west by Lake Victoria, to the east by Magu District, and to the south by Nyamagana District. Part of the region’s capital, the town of Mwanza, is within Ilemela District.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

i.All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania with an age not above 45 years of age except for those who are in Public Service and where specified;

ii.Applicants must attach an up–to–date Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contacts; postal address/post code, e–mail and telephone numbers;

iii.Applicants should apply on the strength of the information given in this advertisement;

iv.Applicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates:–Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective Registration or Regulatory Bodies, (where applicable);Birth certificate;

v.Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted:–Form IV and form VI results slips;Testimonials and all Partial transcripts.

xi.Professional certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education(NACTE)respectively.
