Job Description

Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in Manufacturing Department. We are looking for a talented individual with the relevant skills and experience in Manufacturing for a Quality Assurance Technologist position, which will based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report directly to the SHEQ Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

UNDERSTAND AND IMPLEMENT BUSINESS STREATEGIC PRIORITIES

Align Quality Goals and Objectives with Business Strategic Priorities; Engage with Internal Customers to Develop Partnerships and Capability; Leads the implementation of Quality (Control) at Source and the development of the Quality Assurance function at Plant and trade Levels; Leads the implementation of product freshness and consumer complaints reductions and response

ENSURE THAT PRODUCT AND PACKAGE QUALITY MEETS LEGAL INTERNAL AND TCCC REQUIREMENTS

Maintenance of the Quality system and ensure CCBA and TCCC standards are met; Ensure Quality Governance, Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Laboratory Practice standards are maintained in all facilities; Review and Interpretation of SPC data and ensuring that this knowledge is extended to the packaging team; Monitor the implementation of the non-conformance program. Final decision on rejections lies with the QAT. Routine verification of system compliance through traceability exercise; Ensure that the Sanitation Matrix is adhered to and ensure that data is reviewed by the QAQC. Review and action on CIP optimization report; Review all quality related Data review and ensure that daily data review routines are kept by QAQC’s and team leaders. Implement corrective action for data integrity issues; Ensure that corrective action is taken by the relevant responsible individuals; Ensure 5 WHY raised and completed for all QA related failures and/or issues; Ensure that all quality related packaging and ingredient problems are properly documented, reported to the suppliers via procurement and review corrective action plans presented by suppliers; Ensure quality assurance trade and warehouses implementation as per TCCC and meet internal standards. Handle and resolve customer and consumer complaints; Drive quality at source implementation; Drive and support focus improvement projects such as CIP CO, cost savings projects; Review suitability of level 1 and level 2 Quality KPI’s for SC Ways teams.

MANAGE THE QUALITY AND LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT

Leads the CCBA QAQC function; Manage laboratory Equipment and Consumables (availability and workability/calibrated); Ensure that SPC and Capability Surveys as well as Trade Quality and age surveys are done at required frequencies; Oversee specialised testing e.g., Micro. Ensure that results are reviewed and assist production team leaders with trouble shooting and resolving of micro issues in the plant; Develops Quality Capability (Skills, Competence & Succession); Ensure that relevant reporting is done as per reporting schedules.

DRIVE PROBLEM SOLVING AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES

Ensure that RCA processes relating to quality issues address the relevant root cause. Assist production teams with this process where required; Review quality issue trends and ensure that the appropriate RCA process is followed where basic RCA processes does not address the issues.

MANAGE SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS

Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies and procedures and applicable; Contribute to the management of sustainable development issues to achieve key sustainable development targets

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Ensure individual KPI’s are aligned to KPI’S of Country Management Team; People development; Performance management; On-going, informal performance monitoring, feedback and coaching provided daily or as required; Leave processes conducted according to policy; Ensure good employee relations.

Skills, Experience & Education

The incumbent should have at least a B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology or related filed and a minimum of 5 years in Food Processing Plant as a Team Leader/Supervisor. Good process knowledge, preferably in a bottling environment. Strong communication skills, good leadership qualities, good analytical skills, and a demonstrated high level of integrity.

Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in Finance Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience in Controls & Governance Manager Position to be based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report to Finance Director.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the incumbent will be to ensuring existence of a robust risk and control environment that effectively manages risks and supports business growth. Responsible for creating and maintaining local policies and chart of authority aligned with Coca-Cola Beverage Africa and The Coca-Cola Company standard policies and chart of authority; conduct independent testing of processes, procedures and controls in accordance with the Risk and Control Model; highlight key governance, control and process deficiencies to the operational teams and agree mitigations steps to close out; coordinate internal and external audits and ensure findings are closed out within agreed timelines; prepare risk and governance reports for the audit committee and compile the audit committee deck; drive changes to the documented processes and procedures to reduce operational risk through partnering with key stakeholders; custodian of the business continuity plan and coordinator of risk assessment meetings.

Skills, Experience & Education
The applicant should have at least a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, professional certification such as CPA/ACCA/CISA/CIA, at least 4 years relevant experience with previous experience in manufacturing an added advantage. Good business acumen, outstanding analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills and ability to interact with people at various levels.
