Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung Africa are currently implementing projects in Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania.For its head office in the Northern, Tanzania, HRNS is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.

Purpose of the position
The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator is responsible to Implement and supervise the M&E system for HRNS Tanzania and provide relevant information on project work and outcomes to HRNS HQ, partners and donors. Establish, maintain, and further develop partnerships and inform about HRNS work with national and regional networks and platforms.

Roles and responsibilities

· Coordinate M&E
To implement and supervise the HRNS TZ M&E system in line with the global HRNS M&E approach, donor requirements and management information needs.
Conduct timely and accurate reporting to donors and partners for all HRNS TZ activities
Oversee development and implementation of procedures, tools, and systems needed for generating M&E data, and inform/update/train M&E team on their use
Oversee, supervise and control quality of KPI indicators
Ensure routine and rigorous data quality validation exercises are performed to ensure high confidence in the quality of data analysed and reported to donors and HRNS HQ
To support and/or conduct training of staff and farmers on new data collection tools, systems and procedures developed
Ensure feedback is provided to team and beneficiaries on M&E and KPI indicators collected
Collaborate with external evaluators on the design and execution of program evaluations and special studies.
Ensure existing Management Information Systems (CommCare, CTO, etc) are capable and effective in supporting data collection, analysis and reporting needs.

· Human Resource Management, Development & Learning
Supervise, lead, manage and backstop the entire M&E team
Provide regular feedback to Field Operations Manager in North and South about collaboration of field staff with the M&E department
Provide training and on-the-job coaching for HRNS team and partners in how to read, understand the use the program data to make informed decisions to improve program impact;
Work with the teams to develop and implement systems to use data to drive decision-making at all levels
Recruit train and continuously develop M&E staff
Conduct regular staff meetings and assessments
Support coordination of HRNS TZ team meetings, staff training and management

· Communications & Partnerships

Coordinate internal and donor reporting, communication, exchange (presentations, field visits, and related)
Support HRNS TZ team to generate relevant content about outcomes and impacts of project activities (e.g. farmer success stories, testimonials, best practices) for internal and external communication and learning

Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level in M&E, Statistics, Quantitative Economics or equivalent in social sciences and or social research.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, Data management, analysis and reporting of programs with ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- At least 5 years experience in Monitoring & Evaluation technology maintenance (Survey CTO, Monitoring & Evaluation, Training, communication, and coordination skills.
- Has experience working with development projects and communities
- Willing to travel frequently within Tanzania and occasionally internationally
- Result-driven, proactive and solution-oriented
- Committed to work in a diverse and intercultural team
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Good presentation and report writing skills
The remuneration is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
