The Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development (UONGOZI Institute) is a regional leadership development hub operating under the Office of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Established in 2010 by the Governments of Tanzania and Finland, the Institute is dedicated to inspiring and equipping African leaders to deliver inclusive and sustainable solutions for their nations and the continent at large.

The Institute is currently seeking interns in the Finance, Research, and Procurement functions. All positions are based in Dar es Salaam.
Positions Summary1. Finance Intern (1 Position)
The Finance Intern will assist in implementing finance and accounting functions.
Reporting to: Senior Accountant
Department: Corporate Services
The Research Intern will assist in coordinating research and
policy activities and support the operations of the Institute’s Resource
Centre.
Reporting to: Senior Researcher
Department: Research and Policy Analysis
The Procurement Intern will support the implementation of procurement plans, including tendering processes, logistics, and inventory management.
Reporting to: Senior Procurement and Supplies Officer
Unit: Procurement Management
- Engagement period: Up to one (1) year, depending on performance and institutional needs.
- Some assignments may involve travel.
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internet search tools.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Volunteering experience is an added advantage (but not mandatory).
