About Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is a Limited Liability Company incorporated under the Companies Act (CAP 212) 2002, following the dissolution of the former Air Tanzania Corporation (ATC). The company is 100% owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. ATCL is currently implementing a 5-year Corporate Strategic Plan (2022/23-2026/27) to strengthen its fleet and provide reliable, seamless, safe, and high-quality services. 1. Position: Captain B767/B787/B737/A220/Q400/Q300 (23 Posts)
1.1 Minimum Entry Qualifications
- The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3500 flying hours with a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Multi Engine, and Instrument Rating.
- Must have a minimum of 1000 hours and endorsement as Pilot in Command on aircraft equipment of 20 tons with demonstrated good performance.
- Must have a B767/B787/B737/A220/Q400/Q300 type rating.
- Must have a valid Class One medical certificate.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- ICAO English Proficiency Level 4 or above.
- Non-Tanzanians are encouraged to apply.
1.2 Duties and Responsibilities
- Command the aircraft with due regard for safety and comfort of passengers at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of discipline, appearance, uniformity, and promptness for Co-pilots and Cabin Crew.
- Determine that commercial aspects of their flights are achieved and, whenever safety is not impaired, obtain additional revenue load for the Company.
- Ascertain that they are briefed on Flight Plans, NOTAMs, Fleet Notices, weather, and any pertinent documentation and service items that their flight may require.
- Verify that the loading of their aircraft has been performed in accordance with laid-down procedures.
- Report all incidents and accidents.
- Verify that all documents/certificates required on board the aircraft are available and valid.
- Report any flight delays.
- Accept and sign for diplomatic mail, precious cargo, supervise their stowage aboard the aircraft, and ensure handover to destinations.
- Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment in compliance with relevant legislative/industry requirements.
- Audit, review, and report on service delivery to monitor compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) availed to Ground Handling Agents (GHA).
- Administrative processes to ensure integrity and accuracy of manual and computerized data processing.
- Record all flight movements as per company requirements.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
2. Position: First Officer (45 Posts)
2.1 Minimum Entry Qualifications
- The ideal candidate must have more than 250 flying hours with a Commercial Pilot License, Multi Engine, and Instrument Rating.
- Must have experience handling a minimum of 10 tons of equipment with good performance.
- Must have a valid Class One medical certificate.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- ICAO English Proficiency Level 4 or above.
2.2 Duties and Responsibilities
- Command the aircraft with due regard for safety and comfort of passengers at all times.

3. Position: Cabin Crew – French Speaking (Intermediate B2) (10 Posts)
3.1 Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a Form IV Certificate with four credit passes, one of which should be English.
- Must hold an Ab-Initio Certificate from a recognized Aviation Institution or equivalent qualification, plus a Cabin Crew Member Certificate issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).
- Must have an arm reach of 212 cm while standing.
- Must have an acceptable level of BMI.

- Must have a certificate of French language from a recognized institution.
- The candidate must fulfill Cabin Crew Member Manual requirements when applicable.

- Ensure adherence to all policies and regulations for timely completion of all duties as assigned by the respective Purser/Senior Crew.
- Ensure that customers receive the best possible service as per ATCL cabin service procedures and standards.
- Support delivery of world-class passenger service and assist in achieving on-time performance.
- Provide liaison assistance between passengers and the flight crew.
- Maintain proper utilization and handover of in-flight catering items, materials, and good care of in-flight equipment.
- Ensure that cabin operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the organization.
- Report all flight incidents to the Purser/Senior Cabin Crew Member.
- Accept and carry out changes to planned roster/duty as required.
- Cooperate with the Purser/Senior Crew to ensure passenger complaints are promptly addressed.

4. Position: Cabin Crew – Chinese Speaking (HSK4/Intermediate B2) (10 Posts)
4.1 Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a Form IV Certificate with four credit passes, one of which should be English.
- Must hold an Ab-Initio Certificate from a recognized Aviation Institution or equivalent qualification, plus a Cabin Crew Member Certificate issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).
- Must have an arm reach of 212 cm while standing.

- Must have a certificate of Chinese language from a recognized institution.

- Must hold an Ab-Initio Certificate from a recognized Aviation Institution or equivalent qualification, plus a Cabin Crew Member Certificate issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).
- Must have an arm reach of 212 cm while standing.
- Must have an acceptable level of BMI.
- Must have no visible tattoos while in Air Tanzania crew uniform.
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Swahili.
- Knowledge of an extra international language will be an added advantage.
- The candidate must fulfill Cabin Crew Member Manual requirements when applicable.
5.2 Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain safety, security, comfort, and welfare of passengers and fellow crew members in cabin operations.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and regulations for timely completion of all duties as assigned by the respective Purser/Senior Crew.

6. Position: Accountant I (Cost Accounting) (1 Post)
6.1 Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields: Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accountancy, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must hold either CPA(T), ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification recognized by the NBAA.
- Must have four (4) years of working experience.
6.2 Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect cash and cheques and pay authorized petty cash.
- Reconcile cash balance.
- Prepare revenue accounts documentation.
- Dispatch voucher lists to Head of Sections.
- Make batching of payment vouchers as per cashbook.
- Maintain Petty Cash Book and Register.
- Carry out regular bank reconciliation.
- Record financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
7. Position: Ramp Assistant II (4 Posts)
7.1 Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education.
- Must have a Certificate in an aviation-related course.
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and all airport ground support facilities will be an added advantage.
7.2 Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, input, and process all data and documentation required for secure manual, automated, or computerized systems, including weather reporting and NOTAMs (if required), LDM, PSM, special loads, cargo, mail, DGR, steps, GPU, ASU, fuel, catering, and crew change.
- Carry out pre-arrival inspections, aircraft, and aircraft footprint area hazard/FOD checks.
- Lead the turnaround process, ensuring all relevant equipment, resources, and services are in place to complete a safe, secure, and efficient on-time turnaround.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with all relevant parties, both external and internal.
- Coordinate the safe, secure, and efficient customer embarkation and boarding according to procedures.
- Report any faults or irregularities with facilities, systems, or processes to the appropriate management, airport authority, and/or crew.
- Provide timely and appropriate response to disruption, emergency, or delay situations in the operation.
- Manage the offloading and loading procedures of the aircraft.
- Perform accurate load reconciliation in line with approved guidelines and manuals.
- Communicate aircraft movement messages and delay codes and assist with disruption management.
- Assist in the preparation of the RC report and ensure the RC checklist is properly filled and filed.
- Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
8. Terms and Conditions
- Ten (10) years contract for Tanzanians with attractive remuneration and fringe benefits as per ATCL Salary Structure and Incentive Scheme.
