  • Sample collection
  • Sample storage
  • Vaccination of patients
  • Completion of specimen transfer form

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Experience in Research

Skills and Competencies

  • Patient Management skills
  • Computer skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Position: Field Worker (8 Posts)
Reports To: Principal Investigator
Work Station: Dar es Salaam

Ifakara Health Institute seeks a qualified Field Worker who will work with the Sub-TB project to follow up participants at the clinic and their home place.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow up household members of the patients at their home place.
  • Take samples (blood and sputum) of the participants.
  • Reconsent participants.
  • Identify and manage adverse and severe adverse events.
  • Contribute to the initial development of SOPs.

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma/Certificate in nursing, laboratory, or medicine.
  • Experience in research.
  • Experience in riding a motorbike.

  • Patient management skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
