Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Outbound Logistics and Sales Ways and related standards to optimize the Order to Cash process.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support embedding of best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers through the Outbound Logistics and Sales Way and capability development strategy
  • Provide information to new customers on queries and applications, and co-ordinate the customer application and approval process
  • Process customer orders on the nominated order date (NOD) through adherence to the procedure, and working closely with Sales, Finance and Logistics (Planning and Execution) to ensure effective order delivery on the nominate delivery date (NDD)
  • Flag issues regarding inventory or customer account status to the relevant functions for action to expedite orders
  • Proactively canvas and influence orders to optimize delivery loads, increase sales and maximize revenue options
  • Create stock transfer orders for DC replenishment in the system, (if required and in the absence of a Logistics Planner, or as required by the Warehouse Manager)
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in Order to Cash processes and customer service delivery
  • Promote and adhere to Kilombero’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Job Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service environment, with knowledge of the Outbound Logistics process and the FMCG customer environment
  • Strong customer centric orientation; professionalism with good communication skills, and the ability to influence both customers and internal functions, attention to detail and good administrative skills
  • ERP and Excel understanding would be an added advantage

SHERQ Officer at Kilombero Sugar

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the site / functional area to effectively implement, comply with and monitor SHERQ and Food Safety standards and processes through coaching, guidance, and communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate SHERQ and Food Safety risk assessments, and work with operations to develop best mitigation plans.
  • Coach and guideline management in the assessment, management, and continuous improvement of SHERQ and Food Safety performance.
  • Facilitate SHERQ and Food Safety investigations and coordinate the verification of closeout actions.
  • Facilitate the closeout of audit findings.
  • Create SHERQ awareness using various fit for purpose media (e.g. toolbox talks, noticeboards, electronic media).
  • Develop SHERQ capability in contractors and seasonal, through facilitation of safety induction training / design material.
  • Manage SHERQ induction processes, through effective planning, facilitation, and co-ordination.
  • Conduct inspections and internal audits to oversee and ensure the adherence to legislative and IIRMS requirements.
  • Maintain the IIRMS and external assurance systems through creating and updating procedures, communicating changes to procedures and auditing compliance.
  • Implement and drive the implementation of SHERQ programmers and plans specific to area of responsibility (e.g. water usage plan).
  • Develop monitoring schedules to ensure compliance with statutory requirements for safety, environment, Food Safety and occupational health.
  • Test and validate inputs into the ABF Annual HSE reporting process to reduce likelihood of findings.
  • Compile SHERQ management reports.
  • Coordinate effective testing of emergency response protocols.
  • Track SHERQ inspections in CMMS (e.g. MAXIMO) and facilitate effective closeout.
  • Ensure effective SHE and Food Safety committee meetings are conducted to schedule through setting up the programmed, attending meetings and making necessary changes to IIIRMS a result.
  • Create awareness of safety in communities who live and use the estate (e.g. Schools, villages in the boundary) through developing and delivering pamphlets, talks etc.
  • Promote an adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law an Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)

Job Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Quality Management, Risk Management or equivalent
  • SAMTRAC/ NEBOSH qualification; ISO 9000 / 22 000 Lead Auditor qualification is an advantage
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an operational environment (Factory / Agriculture), working in a health and safety role
  • Training in First Aid and Fire Prevention is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant SHERQ Legislation and Regulatory requirements.
  • Report writing skills; ability to coach and facilitate learning; skills in MS Office

HSE Manager (K3. 1 Project) at Kilombero Sugar

Job Purpose
Ensure that the Project EPC Contractor is supported and monitored to effectively comply with IDTL HSE  standards and processes for the safe execution of the Project as well as Support the Project Site Execution Manager and Owners and team to ensure IDTL HSE  standards are being adhered to during the execution of the project

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Frequently engage with Contractor HSE representatives and ensure satisfactory risk assessments have been undertaken.
  • Specifically monitor Contractor’s site behaviour and compliance with the cardinal rules which deal specifically with the high-risk activities and use of appropriate PPE for all activities on the site.
  • Engage directly with IDTL Project Team Management to effectively ensure corrective measures are swiftly implemented to ensure site HSE compliance and minimize all risks for incidents and accidents across the project site/s and activities.
  • Influence and guide Contractors HSE Site Manager in matters of assessment, management and continuous improvement related to HSE  performance.
  • Understand the Tanzania OSHA requirements applicable to a large project and ensure and assist Contractor HSE Site Manager to enforce compliance.
  • Conduct inspections and internal audits to oversee and ensure the adherence to legislative and KSCL Safety Management System Illovo Integrated Risk Management System (IIRMS) requirements.
  • Maintain the KSCL Safety Management System Illovo Integrated Risk Management System (IIRMS) and external assurance systems through creating and updating procedures, communicating changes to procedures and auditing compliance.
  • Ensure HSE is embedded into Operational Readiness program
  • Assist with the co-ordination of effective testing of emergency response protocols.
  • Promote and adhere to the Project Charter, policies and guidelines including without limitation those relating to HSE , Competition Law and Anti Bribery and Corruption(ABC)

Job Qualification and Experience.

  • Bachelor Degree in Safety, Health Engineering or related discipline.
  • SAMTRAC/NEBOSH qualification; ISO 9001/45001/14001 will be and added advantage.
  • At least 8 years experience in a s SHERQ Management role.
  • Excellent communication skills at Senior Management level.
  • Report writing skills and MS Office proficiency.
  • Full understanding of Tanzania OSHA requirements.
