Invitation For Tender

  1. The Benjamin William Mkapa Foundation (BMF) in collaboration with the Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Health (MoH) and with support from the Global Fund to Fight Against Aids Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), is implementing the National coordinated and integrated Community Based Health Program (CBHP) in ten regions of Tanzania Mainland.

  1. The program will engage the deployment of Community Health Workers (CHWs) to address communicable diseases including AIDS, TB and Malaria, non-communicable diseases, reproductive child health and nutrition, and emerging disease outbreaks. To facilitate smooth implementation at the community levels, the deployed CHWs are to be provided with working tools. BMF is therefore intending to apply part of the proceeds of the GFATM grant to cover eligible payments under the contract for supplying various working tools for the CHWs.
  2. BMF now invites competitive bids from eligible Suppliers for Supplying of various goods as follows;

  • Bidders are allowed to bid for Lot 1, or Lot 2 or both Lots. Bidders must quote for all item and quantities as specified in schedule of requirements. Bidder not quoting all items and quantities per each lot will be considered non-responsive and rejected.
  • Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procurement procedure specified in the BMF Procurement Guidelines, 2022 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the guideline.
  • Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary to Tender Board, Benjamin William Mkapa Foundation (BMF), P. O. Box 76274, Mkapa Health Plaza, Plot No. 2006 Tuari Road (off Mwai Kibaki Rd), Mbezi Beach Kawe ,Dar Es Salaam-Tanzania, or through email: proeurement@mkapafoundation.or.tz from 9:00 am to 3:00pm on Monday to Friday except on Public Holidays.
  • A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000 (Tanzanian shillings One Hundred Thousand Only). Payment shall be made direct to the Benjamin Mkapa Foundation, Bank account No. 01J1094770801 at CRDB Bank limited.
  • All tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
  • All bids in one original plus 2 copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes marked “Supply of various goods” (by specifying lot(s) number and description) must be delivered to the Secretary of Tender Board, Benjamin William Mkapa Foundation (BMF), P. O. Box 76274, Mkapa Health Plaza Plot No. 2006 Tuari Road (off Mwai Kibaki Rd), Mbezi Beach Kawe, Dar Es Salaam- Tanzania at or before 12.00 local hours on Friday 7th June, 2024. Bids shall be opened in public immediately after the submission deadline in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend the opening session at the BMF Conference Room.
  • Late, partial, electronic bids, and quotations not opened at the quotation opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
