Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves as healthcare social enterprise and through development programmes in the community and the most vulnerable.

Recommended:

Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs. Its recently opened Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

In order to strengthen our Rehabilitation services,

we are looking for an dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team.

The role

As part of CCBRT’s multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, you provide quality Occupational Therapy services (including counseling and education) to CCBRT clients according to CCBRT guidelines and clients needs. You contribute to the  positive experience of clients at CCBRT Rehabilitation Department in all aspects. 

You identify the request for service and main problem of the clients and prepare and execute an individual rehabilitation plan with goals and Interventions.  Provide Occupational Therapy services and help to clients with physical and cognitive conditions take part in daily activities. Order, measure and provide necessary equipment for the clients. 

Be a teamplayer that is punctual, committed and execute tasks that are to be completed by the team. Collaborate closely with the other therapists and staff in the rehabilitation team. Ensure administration regarding patients is completed as per CCBRT guidelines and systems.

The candidate

  • Diploma of Occupational Therapy or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist who is allowed to practice by Medical Council of Tanganyika
  • A member of Associaton of Occupational Therapists in Tanzania
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as Occupational Therapist with excellent track record  Computer literate
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both English and Swahili)
  • A pro-active attitude and eagerness to work

In line with further expansion of Ophthalmology and Optical services, 

CCBRT is looking for a dynamic and experienced Optometrist to treat patients  with refractive errors and prescribe appropriate glasses.

The role

Your work includes:

  • Refraction for all Inpatients and Outpatients.
  • Performing both objective and subjective refraction for all patients.  Evaluating refractive error and documenting in respective files correctly  Performing additional tests and examinations as required.
  • Assisting colleague optometrist in their daily routine work.

You contribute to improvements in the daily work and effective work planning of the team. You might be stationed either at CCBRT or at one of CCBRT shops in Tanzania.

The candidate

  • Degree or Diploma of Optometry
  • Minimum of 1 year post-inter working experience with reputable organisation.
  • Registered with the Optometry council
  • Computer Literate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excwllent verbal and writtern communication skills (bot English and Swahili)
  • Team worker with client focus
  • A pro-active attitude and eagerness to work

In line with further expansion of Ophthalmology and Optical services,  CCBRT is looking for a dynamic and energetic Sales Officer 

The role

As part of the CCBRT Optical Production & Sales Team, you are receiving customers, helping customer in selecting frames and dispensing right spectacles for the right person; You provide explanation on different types of frames and lenses available; You prepare sales orders, invoices and deliver to the production unit; You maintain a register for daily orders and special order ( ERP software).

You collect cash and create receipts  for sales invoices; prepare cash collection report at end of every day, tally cash and handover to finance personnel; You inform customers once their spectacles are ready or reason for not ready on time. You maintain the showroom inventory and tally stock according to sales; Your prepare sales reports and claims forms for finance and communicate with insurance companies for pre-authorization.

You contribute to improvements in your daily work and effective work planning of the team in order to improve operational efficiencies and quality of work. You might be stationed either at CCBRT or at one of CCBRT shops in Tanzania.

The candidate

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing
  • 2 experience in Sales and Marketing
  • Computer literate (Preferably ERP experience)
  • Good communication skills in English and Swahili
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player
