Maintenance Manager

Mbeya Cement Company Limited is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Maintenance Manager, to be based in Mbeya Plant, on a permanent employment contract.
Position Reporting To: Plant Manager
1. Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
a) Preparation of maintenance budget before the following year focusing on clinker and cement production volumes in relation to the major annual kilns and cement mill shutdowns.
b) Define and optimize maintenance expenses. so as to keep them within the budget through prioritization of activities.
c) Propose and schedule periodic maintenance of the plant equipment to ensure continuous equipment
reliability and performance efficiency at a minimum cost.
d) Manage the Maintenance Department performance including effective manpower utilization and KPIs
tracking achieving the equipment reliability to deliver target volumes through Maintenance ERP tools.
e) Monthly tracking of the maintenance inventory and preparing the report for Middle East Africa (MEA) as per the Group’s requirement. this includes cycle count of maintenance inventory in stores every month.
f) Ensure the Maintenance Activities comply with all relevant laws, including healthy, environmental, safety, industrial relations, risk management, and quality assurance.
2. Qualifications
a) Education Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation Engineering.
b) Maintenance management with a minimum of 8 years experience in the clinker and cement manufacturing industry.

g) Root Cause Analysis
h) Maintenance Management Software CMMS, Project software
i) Registered Professional Engineer certified by the Engineers’ Registration Board (ERB)
