Prepare meals for patients and MSF staff, according to hygiene standards and security rules, in order to ensure their nutritional needs

Main Responsibilities:

•          Carry out the preparation of meals for staff

•          Follow at all times all hygiene standards and security rules.

•          Control stock of food so as to ask for anything needed on time, and prepare shopping list and make purchases if required.

•          Ensure meals to be served on time.

•          If applicable set table before every meal and clean it up after each meal.

•          Ensure cleanliness of all facilities, utensils and equipment.

•          If domestic cook, ensure the provision of drinkable water during the day and when she / he leaves: cleaning, filling the filter and empty bottles, changing batteries if necessary.

•          Look after all equipment provided.

•          Keep an inventory of MSF kitchen utensils and equipment, i.e. plates, glasses, cutlery, cookware, etc., and ensure its integrity.

• Perform repair / maintenance / construction works, according to the supervisor’s instructions and MSF standards, in order to ensure proper operations and prevent faults / deterioration of MSF equipment / installations / infrastructures.

Main Responsibilities:
• Carry out all minor works (construction, repairs, etc.) requested by the line manager, as well as any task identified by the employee and approved by the line manager.
• Perform regular maintenance of MSF installations / equipment / infrastructures (base, house, store, warehouse, health centre, hospital, etc.), particularly in line with a preventive maintenance plan (procedures to follow, schedule, etc.).
• In the event of faults / deterioration, diagnose the problem and propose possible solutions to the line manager and/or technical adviser.
• Perform any necessary tests / checks to confirm the proper operation of the installation or equipment after repair.
• Ensure effective management, protection and care of work tools (including site installations under the employee’s supervision) and keep the workshop tidy.
• Ensure that there are adequate stocks of consumables and materials for minor repairs and manage those stocks; placing orders in time.
• Keep all documents related to installations / equipment / infrastructures in order and update them regularly.
• Immediately inform the line manager of any problems that arise in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, theft or attempted break-ins.
• Assist logistics department for any related work needed

CONTEXT SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Perform maintenance, small construction according to Supervisor’s instruction and a chronogram of activities in MSF hospital .
• Perfom water activities : plumbing (daily check of water supply system and fittings), chlorination, quantity and quality monitoring according to MSF standards
• Ensure his activities are done according to MSF protocols and safety rules
• Keep his working place clean and tidy
• Ensure the good use, storage and maintenance of the equipment and tools provided
• Share any needs in equipment, materials, tools related to the water and construction activities and to his Line Supervisor in order to keep a good work organisation
• Support the Hospital Logistics team in extra activities in or outside MSF hospital

Main Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with project LTL / managers, provide support and guidance to the field staff in order to ensure that all electrical (and HVAC if relevant) installations comply with MSF standards, protocols and procedures, and the preventive and corrective maintenance is done accordingly.
• Carry out evaluations, feasibility and detailed studies of the project to present hierarchical superiors different possible solutions to the difficulties encountered in his/her area of specialization, namely the installation, construction and commissioning of electrical (and HVAC if relevant) installations. In direct contact with staff, identify project needs and manage responses of requests by establishing priorities.
• Provide support to the teams in the field in the energy (and HVAC if relevant) domain and assist in the training of project technicians to make them autonomous for preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting and small jobs. Ensuring that technicians are able to implement safely procedure for themselves and users.
• Guides and supports the field teams to define and implement preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
• Raises the awareness on energy use for all staff and advices on strategies to improve energy efficiency of the site.
• Provide training for technicians on appropriate use and maintenance of existing and new installations.
• Act as an itinerant support of the mission implementing proposed solutions when needed and provide managers with duly documented technical advice.
• If necessary, defines procedures and / or protocols for the proper functioning of the electrical (and HVAC if relevant) installations in the field.
• Performs regular inspections of the interventions and condition of the electrical (and HVAC if relevant) installations.
• Participates in the evaluation of local actors and ensures the quality of services and supplies.
• Checks and advises on international orders for consumables and replacement equipment.

The main objective of reducing the environmental footprint entails energy efficiency, reducing the carbon dioxide emissions, a proper waste management and the use of sustainable and adapted solutions according to the context.

CONTEXT SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Base at Kigoma region, Kibondo/Nduta refugee camp and flying around all MSF Tanzania mission project sites including coordination to implement and follow-up on issues related to Electrical installation.
• Performing periodical maintenance for the power boards everywhere on the mission
• Follow up on the project electrical stocks and advises the LTL on orders
• Perform field visit as requested by the supervisor
• Ensure that single line diagram are always updated and present in termination boxes
• Report writing; Monthly, visit and ToR in concern with the mission activities
• Responsible for the tools assigned to him/her
• Perform and update inventory for the equipment
• Technical validation and reception of materials
• To conduct tests of the batteries as per protocols and ensure backup systems are kept in best possible environment/conditions.

Objectives of the position:
• Coordinating and controlling the operation of vehicles in one location according to traffic regulations and MSF security rules and ensuring that the team of drivers perform properly their duties to ensure an adequate, efficient and safe transport of goods and people.

Main Responsibilities:
• Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), performing weekly check according to the MSF Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions. Carrying out a hand over if another uses the vehicle
• Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country as well as MSF security rules, in order to avoid car accidents.
• Ensuring all passengers have all necessary papers in order before travelling, and ensuring non MSF staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle
• Ensuring correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, submitting the documents to the receiver of the goods, checking the status of delivered goods, returning the duly completed documents to Logistics and ensuring that the goods have the necessary documents
• Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver’s driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
• Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods.
• Knowing how to use all types of radios, codes, call numbers and radio alphabets by heart and communicating with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver’s position and any potential implications.
• Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensuring all passengers know and respect the security rules

• Performing the day to day purchasing activities in a particular supply office (coordination or project level) according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure an optimal running of the mission/ project.

Main Responsibilities:
• Performing on a day to day basis the purchasing activities of a supply office, analysing market sources and competitive pricing conditions among different suppliers in order to ensure an ongoing supply of goods, following the procurement procedures and according to MSF standards and protocols. Including the following activities:
• Constantly assessing the local market, seeking products and suppliers that offer the best value for money and negotiating prices in order to guarantee the best quality and pricing for MSF goods and commodities. Regularly updating the supplier-item-price data on the supply office and informing the Supply (Activity) Supervisor / Logistics Supervisor of all information or modifications to the data i.e. price, address, items available.
• At the request of the line manager, obtaining different quotations from suppliers according to the MSF Purchasing policy and placing purchase orders to pre-selected suppliers with whom prices have been agreed.
• Requesting invoices or receipts, without delay, for all purchases, checking they are correctly filled and translating information written in local language before approval.
• Managing the administrative and accounting procedures related to purchases: completing purchase orders, checking delivery notes (against orders), managing advances issued by the Finance Department, etc. Updating information on purchase lists after purchases are made.
• Assisting in reception control process with the storekeeper.
• Performing delegated tasks according to his / her activity and as specified in his/her job description
