Rieta AgroSciences Tanzania Limited is a locally owned agribusiness servicing the southern highlands of Tanzania. It was formed in 2017 and was incorporated in 2019. In November 2017, Rieta opened three agro-input shops in rural areas of Mbozi district and started serving farmers by supplying seeds, pesticides and fertilizers as a village based agrodealer (VBA). Rieta also provided good agronomic practices services (GAP), all to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients, regardless of their production system. Rieta’s seed variety portfolio includes 9 crops which are maize, beans, sorghum, sesame, rice sunflower, tomato, amaranth and African cabbage. Recommended:

The selection of seed varieties for seed production is based on market consideration with emphasis on high grain yield, optimum maturity under respective local conditions, processing characteristics, resistance to lodging, pests and diseases and consumption preferences. Seed production is supported with optimum crop management techniques coupled with a thorough and rigorous internal seed quality control in all stages of seed production to ensure quantity and quality seed production. working alongside our clients.
