Jhpiego seeks a Sr Technical Advisor: QI and Sustainability/QI Program Lead for an upcoming Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/PEPFAR-funded voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) project in Tanzania. The project aims to contribute to the PEPFAR goal of achieving HIV epidemic control through the scale-up of quality, safe VMMC services targeting adult men and high-risk populations for HIV prevention in Tanzania. The project will work in CDC priority regions to reach males >15 years and saturate VMMC services in low coverage areas in Geita, Kagera, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Mara and Kigoma regions. The project will operate over a 5-year period.

Overview
The VMMC Program Lead will work collaboratively with the Principal
Investigator/Project Director to provide overall project leadership,

male circumcision (VMMC) project in Tanzania. The VMMC Program Lead
will provide leadership and management support with direct oversight of

supported regions. This large-scale project aims to support the GoT in
improving health outcomes and reducing new HIV infections by saturating
VMMC services in low coverage regions, improving VMMC services uptake
for males > 15 years including targeted high-risk groups for greater
impact on HIV incidence reduction. The project will operate over a
5-year period.

closely with stakeholders to ensure project spending is tracked and
incorporated into appropriate government tools and tracking. The project
will work to support the Government of Tanzania in the CDC priority
regions to reach males >15 years and saturate VMMC services in low
coverage areas in Geita, Kagera, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Mara and

The
Senior Technical Advisor will provide technical leadership and project
oversight in the areas of Health Care Worker/Community Health Worker
(HCW/CHW) training and capacity building in VMMC service provision
include AE prevention and management, Quality Improvement/Quality
Assurance (QI/QA) and data quality and use as it relates to Voluntary
Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC).The Senior Technical Advisor/Training
Lead will also provide technical assistance at the
National/Regional/District and Facility level ensuring ongoing capacity
and expertise is built within the existing MOH and PORALG structures in
the areas of VMMC service provision, QI/QA and data quality and use for
sustainability.
