Job Summary
Branch manager is an existing role and key in terms of business development at our Msimbazi Branch where the current resource has resigned and is expecting to joining the competition .Currently the Role is vacant and the gap is highly felt as customer relationship management, branch operations and customer service for the branch portfolio is at risk because there is NO one who is fully responsible and hence customers can be easily poached by the competition due to lack of Branch management engagement with customers

Brief Description
· Increase interactions with customers with a view of growing deposits, Assets and channel products.
· Selling Retail customers propositions for personal and schemes aiming at growing customers’ accounts numbers and NFI
· Aligning with Corporate, SME and Sahl businesses for strategy drive to ensure growth on these segments within the branch.
· Growing and maintaining current Total branch portfolio.
· Reinforce Branch Sales Strategy in line with Bank strategy
· Improve Customer satisfaction and Customer Retention.
· To achieve Branch communicated budgets for 2020.
· Manage Branch operations to ensure the Branch is 100% KYC compliant
· Manage and support branch Team in all soft issues and HR related
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree-Business Related
  • Professional qualifications in NBAA,CPA (T) ,ACCA is essential
  • Master’s Degree – Business Related is an added advantage
  • Total minimum number of 6 years’ experience
  • Experience of 2 years in Sales- PB/BB/RB or Sales Manager is required

Detailed Description
  • Initiate and develop rehabilitation, restructuring and recovery strategies towards reduction of non-performing loans (NPL) levels.
  • Supervise, guide and manage credit recovery teams.
  • Liaison with Legal Department and external advocates to ensure recovery cases progress to completion.
  • Provide professional judgment to ensure proper impairment level/provisions is taken consistent with BOT/IFRS regulations/guidelines and bank’s internal policy.
  • Develop general framework for collections and recoveries of all bank’s loan products.
  • Coordinate and manage all banks appointed external agencies (debt collectors, auctioneers, receiver managers, lawyers etc.) and other third party vendors.
  • Supervise and coordinate preparation/submission of management, statutory and regulatory reports required by the bank.
  • To provide professional business support to resolve challenges faced by distressed clients.
  • Quarterly credit portfolio review and monthly review of loan portfolio quality report and make recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Managing the NPLs committee meetings and acting as secretary to the committee.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from a recognized University. Additional professional qualification will be an added advantage
· 5 years in management of which 3 years must be within the credit function.
· Knowledge of credit & non-performing debts policies and other regulatory requirements e.g. BOT Prudential guidelines
· Knowledge of securities documentation and legal remedies available to the bank
· Experience in working closely with lawyers

Position: Cash Officer

The role holder is responsible for maintaining custody of cash in the branch and the strong room
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage counter services to ensure efficient service is delivered to customers.
  • Manage ATMs to ensure that they are operational at all times and replenished with new/serviceable notes.
  • Maintain custodian cash in the branch and the strong rooms
  • To ensure that cash holding limits are maintained both in reserve and with the cashier’s tills.
  • To authorize cash payments and withdrawals above the Section Heads’/cashiers’ limits.
  • To monitor and provide adequate currency notes to cashiers for counter service.
  • To ensure that cash held is adequately insured at all times.
  • Control and supervise the confirmation and sealing of cash deposited by cashiers into reserve.
  • Control and maintain reserve cash within approved limits for the branch.
  • Collect or receive excess foreign currency from cashiers for lodgement.
  • Supervise confirmation and packing of foreign currency for repatriation.
  • Respond to cash related customers’ correspondence.
  • Ensure that customers’ cash requisitions are prepared promptly.
  • Ensure that customers’ cash vouchers together with relevant cash summaries are ticked for validation purposes.
  • Take stock of cash in the safe and ensure that soiled notes and excess local or foreign currency in reserve are repatriated.
  • Make follow up on any cash related suspense entries.
  • Lodge cash in the strong room whenever necessary
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for cash movements into and out of reserve
  • Ensure maintenance of proper records and control of the following registers
  • Reserve cash register.
  • Foreign currency register
  • Cross entries.
  • Lodge cashiers tills in the safe at end of day.
  • Ensure that cashiers balance their cash against cash analysis reports on daily basis
