Iringa Regional Administrative Secretary is working with USAID Boresha Afya Zone in order to improve health Service within the Region.
The USAID Boresha Afya is a five year program (1st October 2016 – 30 September 2021) PEPFAR Supported program through USAID Deloitte Consulting Limited implements the program in 43 Councils in Iringa, Njombe, Morogoro, Lindi, Mtwara & Ruvuma with the technical partners Family Health International (FHI 360) Engender Health and Management and Development for Health (MDH).
The purpose of USAID Boresha Afya is set to create a dynamic, integrated platform for delivery of health service that emphasizes intensified coordination and collaboration between the government, health facilities and Communities, towards achieving HIV epidemic Control while intergrading Family Planning, Tuberculosis, Maternal Newborn & Child Health, Malaria Care and Nutrition through innovative integration approaches at all levels and opportunities.
Therefore Iringa Regional Administrative Secretary in Collaboration with USAID Boresha Afya is seeking to recruit 139 Health Care Volunteers of various Cardes Including Clinicians, Nurses and lab-Technologists. The qualified recruited volunteers will be posted for various health facilities within Iringa and will be paid monthly allowance; the contract duration will be six weeks (August & September) with possibility of extension depending on the availability of funds.
JOB TITLE: HIV TESTING VOLUNTEER
Qualification/Experience

  1. Certificate or Diploma in Medicine, Nursing or Medical Laboratory from a recognized Institutions.
  2. At least 1 year of experience in providing HIV/AIDS Clinical care in Tanzania rural settings.
  3. Computer literacy
  4. Proven interpersonal skills in working effectively as a member of a team & independently
  5. Strong ability to organization Service and development of work plans
  6. Proven verbal ability to write technical documents and give state of the art presentations. Fluent is English and Swahili.
  7. Willingness to work overtime.
  8. Priority will be given to applicant currently living within Iringa Region, people with disabilities and women are encouraged to apply
Duties
  1. To compile and submit Index Reports on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly to the site back stopper on time.
  2. To provide ongoing counselling and testing while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. Also to provide psychosocial support and assist with linkage to referral Services.
  3. To be in line with current HIJ protocols/guidelines to ensure correct testing services (Periodic review of standard Operating Procedures with support from laboratory department)
  4. To keep update records (logbooks, registers report and referral/linkage report)
  5. Participate in date management and net loss analysis in respective facility and districts.
  1. Participate in QI activities.
  2. To carry out any other Health care related duties that may be assigned to you by your immediate supervisor.
