Sr. Advisor, External Engagement - Child Protection


PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Represents and provides strategic global leadership to build World Vision (WV)’s influence, advocacy, partnerships and reputation externally for increased impact. Ensures WV is represented by subject matter experts in key forums and participates in selected networks, associations, and boards as appropriate. Actively positions WV as a NGO of choice with global 2030 Agenda platform, potential and key partners, businesses, donors and other stakeholders. Oversees and coordinates closely with Support Offices’ sector team engagement and partners and other Global Centre teams. Work with and support World Vision’s global ministries and Global Capitals.

Project Accountants


Purpose of the position:
For the development, management and smooth running of all financial management to the projects;
For timely and accurate response to the financial requirements of Donors and WV
For overseeing the financial contracts we hold with partners
When required, provide financial training for program and partner staff.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
Education/Knowledge & experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Equivalent with minimum of five years in progressive working experience in similar environment with adequate exposure to project accounting, financial management including budgeting, grants and contracts.
  • Preferred CPA/ACCA
  • Grant Certification is a must.
  • Strong experience in grants and contracts is a must
  • Experience working with an international organization will be an added advantage
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel & Sun-systems software.
Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision
  • Experience in managing donor funds
  • Working knowledge of WV/USAID/Other grants operations, finance services and practices
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related to work environment needs

Driver


Purpose of the position:
To facilitate WVT Dar Office on issues of logistics, procurements and Vehicle operations at the Office

Driver activities
  • Drive all WVT Vehicles as planned.
  • Ensure that general state of the car has been checked before and after use
  • Keeping vehicle clean and in good condition all the time
  • Ensure all required documents to the vehicle are valid and safely kept. And availability of tool kit, fire extinguisher, first Aid Kit, Wheel spanner and spare tire.
  • Ensure that the vehicles are serviced as per the Planned Preventive Maintenance.
  • Maintain Log Books
  • Adhere to WVT’s Vehicle Policy all the time
  • Prepare and timely submit vehicle Reports in regard to fuel consumption, general vehicle usage or any adverse observation of WVT vehicles.
  • Remind/advice management on matters pertaining to services and repairs of vehicles.
  • To keep vehicle clean and in good condition for use and take care of tool kit

Logistics facilitation
  • Work Closely with Logistics and procurement focal Officer to follow up on processing of permits, dispatch of letters, collecting recommended/sourced quotations, statutory filling and other logistical activities as required.
  • Facilitate the incoming and outgoing mails, parcels and initiate payments with respective cost centers.
  • Timely coordination of Office maintenance and repairs.

Staff and Visitors transport facilitation
  • Ensure WV Visitors are timely facilitated with transport especially airport pickups according to WV standards.
  • Coordinate the hired vehicles and ensure staff pickups are done in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate business trip on daily basis by arranging routes as per the received requests and approvals.
  • Ensure that the hired vehicles log books are dully filled and cross checked before initiating payments.
  • Act as a front office in absence of the administration office/cum logistics.
  • Ensure that every vehicle movement is formally authorized and log book entries are correctly recorded and approved by the trip leader
