Job Title: Depot Supervisor
Reporting to: Depots Operations Superintendent Terms:2 years fixed terms contract
Locations: Dodoma, Isaka, Kigoma, Makambako, Moshi & Mwanza.
• Minimum Qualification: Diploma
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 5 years
Key responsibility
• Responsible for day to day operations of the depot and ensure all strategic objectives are met monthly and annually.

Principal Accountabilities
• Maintain stock of cement;
• Maintain quality of cement;
• Depot administration;
• Ensure physical security of products and other assets;
• Service management;
• People management;
• Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility;
• Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area.
Key requirements
Education
• Diploma related to logistics or warehousing or high school with 5 years’ experience
Knowledge and Specific Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in activities related to depots operations/warehousing/supply chain.
• Good knowledge of depots operations standards.
• Good knowledge of stocks management.
• Good knowledge of customer service.
• Good knowledge of operational cost controls.
• Good knowledge of maintenance of depots.
• Road transport loading rules.
• Good knowledge of SHEQ and risk management.
• Supervisory skills.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal and relationship skills.

Key responsibility
• Responsible for receiving, organising and monitoring cement stocks.
Principal Accountabilities
• Receive and issue cement;
• Physical placement of cement;
• Service management;
• Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility;
• Environment- ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area.
Key requirements
Education
• Diploma related to logistics or warehousing or high/ordinary level secondary school with 3 years’ experience. 
Knowledge and Specific Experience
• Minimum of 1 year’ experience in activities related to depots operations/warehousing.
• Basic knowledge of depots operations.
• Good knowledge of stocks management.
• Good knowledge of customer service.
• Basic knowledge of operational cost controls.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance of depots.
• Good knowledge of SHEQ.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal and relationship skills.

• Manages and controls the effectiveness of cement depots and silos to achieve optimal operating costs and a customer service which supports the set objectives of the commercial team.

• Manage and optimize the capacity of cement depots;
• Ensure that depots meet customer service expectations;
• Lead and manage people to achieve performance objectives;
• Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility;
• Environment- ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area.

Key requirements
Education
• Bachelor degree related to logistics or warehousing or
• Diploma in accounts, store keeping or equivalent with sound experience in warehouse management.
Knowledge and Specific Experience
• Good working knowledge of depots operations standards.
• Knowledge of depots capacities and related design and layout.
• Good knowledge of stocks management and supply chain flow between the plant, depots and customers.
• Good knowledge of customer service.
• Good knowledge of budgeting process and operational cost controls.
• Technical knowledge relevant to the control and maintenance of depot assets.
• Road transport loading rules.
• Good knowledge of SHEQ and risk management
• People management
• Good communication and presentation skill, interpersonal and relationship skills.
