Join our kitchen team at Gran Meliá Arusha as CHEF – ARABIC SPECIALTY!
We are currently looking for αn experienced and dedicated Chef specialized in ARABIC CUISINE.

You will be responsible for overseeing all preparation, cooking and presentation for plates in an assigned restaurant. Your role will be required to assist with cooking, preparation and plating, to ensure that all health and food safety standards are practiced. You will also be responsible for the training and guidance of commis in their roles. Your role will be key in the cleanliness, wastage and cost control of the kitchen.
In addition to the passion for the hospitality industry, the ideal candidate shall possess the following skills & qualifications:

  • Good culinary skills and specialization in special Arabic cuisines is a must.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience with Arabic cuisine
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in 5* hotels
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP & food safety regulations
  • Must possess the relevant food handling certificate as required by the local authorities.
  • High level of English
  • Good level of guest communication skills and teamwork
  • Leadership skills
  • Studies related to the position
